CC Sabathia is still pitching in the 9th inning, going for his 7th complete game as a Brewer.
What a fantastic trade by the Brewers, despite CC leaving this offseason to the Yankees.
Right now Brewers bottom of the 8th are tied with the Cubs 1-1
Mets bullpen has just given up 2 straight solo homeruns and they now trail the Marlins 4-2.
The White Sox are winning their game today so they are gonna have to play tommarow afternoon vs the Tigers. If they Sox and Twins win, that game decides if there is a playoff for the division on tuesday.
Ryan Braun just hit a two run homer, Brewers lead 3-1
Looking like the Brewers are gonna win the wild card.

Complete game 1 run win for Sabathia
Brewers win, it all depends on the Mets game.
Celebrate Milwaukee
Your going to the playoffs
Mets lose.
Really awesome scene in Milwaukee
Phillies Brewers
Cubs Dodgers
Phillies in 3
Cubs in 5
The Brewers are a great story but CC is gonna have to pitch game 2 on short rest AGAIN,
The one thing they have going for them is Jeff Suppan going in game 1, and as every Cardinal fan knows, Suppan is freaking clutch.
If the Brewers steal game 1, then the series is an entirely different story, but I just don't see it.
I suspect Sabathia will be pitching like Jason Marquis soon if they keep pushing him. That's his "history." (A "history" of one postseason, granted.)
I hate the short series because anyone can beat anyone. Unfortunately, the same division rule hurts the Cubs, because they flat own Milwaukee.
The make-up game between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago WhiteSox will be necessary.

I don't like Chicago's chances. Even if they win in Detroit, they would have to play a tie-breaker against the Twins. At least the tie-breaker is in the Cell. Any of the other AL teams could easily sweep them in a short series. The Sox will have no chance to set their rotation or rest guys like Thome and Griffey. It almost seems like a waste, even if they somehow make it.
Just putting him in the same sentence as Marquis is a freaking insult.
Phillies over Brewers in 4
Cubs over Dodgers in 5
Angels vs Red Sox will go 5 games and is a toss-up
Rays beat whoever makes it outta the AL Central in 4
Bosox will repeat
I flipped onto the Brewers/Cubs game in time to see Durham lead off the 7th with a double. I watched the Brewers get him over and in (Braun groundout, Fielder walk, Hardy walk, Hart clueless strikeout, Counsell walk) without another hit to tie the game. Then I flipped over to watch Schoenweis get touched up by Helms. Then I flipped back to watch Sabathia work the Cubs in the 8th, flipping back after a pitching change to see Uggla take Ayala out to make it 4-2 Fish in NY. Then I flipped back to see Cameron single, to see Durham just miss a bomb, and to see Braun yank Wuertz out. Then I flipped back to see Rhodes coax a moderately dangerous fly ball from Delgado with 2 on and 2 out. Then I watched Sabathia get Lee to ground into a double play. Then I watched the Mets have a 9th inning that ended with a somewhat menacing flyball by Church.
I think I managed to catch the most important plays of the day -- somehow.
Whether your team gets in or not, all of this jostling and stuff is exciting. I think some of these series are gonna be a lot of fun to watch, yay for October!
Didn't you say you were a Yankee fan?
Let's go![]()

I wouldn't mind the Dodgers. My first-ever MLB game was at Dodgers stadium and for years the local AA team, the San Antonio Missions, were the Dodgers' affiliate. In fact, they were called the San Antonio Dodgers for a few seasons. Although I loathe the city itself, I wouldn't cry if the Dodgers won it all. But I am rooting for the Rays.
I'm rooting for Brewers-Rays.
Angels/Phillies.
the Angels! Why can't you be a Dodgers fan?
If not the Rays, I'm going for the Angels.
If not the Brewers, I'm going for the Cubs.
Gaylo's, ewww. You must live in the OC.
Even better might be Brewers-Twins, which is my personal hope.
I'm already envisioning the screams about small markets and low ratings. Never mind that they might play a great series against each other -- it won't matter because everyone knows that small market teams can't really play exciting baseball. We shouldn't turn the game on unless teams from NY, LA, Chicago, or Boston are involved.
Angels/Dodgers.
(although I would love the story if the Rays won it all.)
That would be so dope. The 110 would not move, but who gives a .
I said they would repeat.
Not that I want them to repeat.
Plus, Yankees are not in the playoffs
You are really a dumb![]()
Show me another TRUE Yankee fan that would admit that. Ass hats from Canada, damn.
There are some objective Yankees fans...
Most of Yankees fans are not, but some of them are not homers
But I hate the Lakers![]()
