Ask Jason Garrett. Mr. Simpson doesn't call his own plays.
Unfortunately, I had to work today and missed 90% of the game, though.![]()
Hokey smokes.![]()
I think they were probably forcing the ball to TO. Considering his idiotic postgame comments, they were probably having to hear him all week long and figured it was worth a loss to teach him the lesson. News flash: he didn't learn nothin'.
I'm curious, what did he say? I thought something like that happened since every play seemed to involve TO. , there were 2 designed run plays for TO today.
he just felt they didn't give him the ball enough - probably not a huge deal if it were anybody other than TO...but he's been known to let tiny complaints snowball into fiascos in the past.
however, pretty silly considering that he was targeted 18 times today.
I see. Thanks, I didn't catch that. All I heard was how everyone praised TO for being unselfish and all. Maybe next game he won't mind if they pound the rock more.
I gotta agree with Aikman's point today that it's a bit ridiculous that everybody was going out of their way to praise TO for doing the little things...aka HIS JOB.
But he's far from the only diva at that position.
I think it was Cris Collinsworth who pointed out that Owens had 1 out of every three plays going to him in this game. That he would is shocking, even for him. It's possible that someone asked a question that was designed to get that kind of answer and sound bad when they played just the sound bite. Too bad that nobody is willing to give TO the benefit of the doubt. If he's not happy with 2 catches and a win, then someone needs to tell him he should have drafted Jason Witten on his fantasy team.
Do you realize that Washington ownes the Cowboys the last 3 years? 5 of 7 times, Washington has beaten your team...how can anyone have thought that they would cover that spread? I won $200, I should have bet a grand.
