surprisingly?
There's a reason why they're this good early on.
surprisingly?
There's a reason why they're this good early on.
That defense of theirs is something else. It seems like someone, every week ,is making plays for them.
Imagine if they somehow managed to keep Pacman.
That's true. As long as Kerry Collins doesn't have to try to win games for them they're going to be good. Jeff Fisher is underappreciated.
The jacksonville win is solid but the other 3 teams they've played are 1-10. Not exactly tough compe ion.
Is Pacman even doing anything in Dallas? I never felt like he lived up to that #1 pick in Tennessee, and taking one year off didn't help him.
well today he had one tackle and 3 punt returns for 4 yards so yeah, big time impact player. Imagine if the ans had that!
he'll do fine as the nickel in dallas if he behaves himself...
but if not for the nickname 'pacman', his legal transgressions, and a few flashy plays, nobody would know his name based on his play in Tennessee.
he's good when he's on, but he's not a shutdown corner or anything.
Are you saying he's a celebrity corner back? he goes perfect with their celebrity quarter back.
Person A: "Dude, Vince Young sucks."
Person B: "No he doesn't."
A: "Look at his stats! Horrible!"
B: "The most important stat is wins, and that is where VY delivers! There is a reason why he was on the cover of Madden."
Hmmm....Kerry Collins is a beast too I guess...
Yeah, he's fitting right in with Henry and Newman, stinking up the joint and making Cowboys fan long for the days when an effective Roy Williams roamed the defensive backfield.
Pacman played well during his 1st year with the ans.
However, that's all I have to base my opinion on, which really isn't much.
I can't speak about his perfermance with the Boys.
And yes, I say surprisingly more so because they are performing well with Kerry Collins at the helm. I guarantee you if VY had been starting during this win streak, the media would have started hailing him as the next great QB. Okay, that's taking it completely overboard, but you get my point.
That's probably because Collins >> Young. The ans wouldn't be experiencing this success with Young starting.
Yeah Kerry Collins is really lighting it up
Maybe the fact that they have one other playmaker on offense is the reason things are looking better. Vince got one half of Chris Johnson's first game to work with him, and that's it. We'll see how he looks now that he's got someone he can depend on, and not heads like Roydell Williams.
This team is not capable of winning a Super Bowl with Kerry Collins at QB, so if they want a shot, they better work Vince in as soon as they can.
I know this beats a dead horse, but the Ravens won a super bowl with a lights out defense and a very Kerry Collinsish type of a quarterback.
The problem with that is, unfortunately, all objective evidence points to Kerry Collins being a better quarterback than Vince Young. VY's career in Tennessee is probably already over.
lol, heads
as for my input...
i think this is an absolutely fantastic, physical defense. i think if they get another weapon or two on offense, and just let VY do his thing, they could be a potential dynasty, considering how young they still are, and their defense is this ing good. they can still get to the SB this year, IMO. but with Collins, I dont think they can beat teams like the Cowboys or Eagles. Possibly not even the Giants, as they are looking quite good themselves (much better than i expected anyways)
Now we have the dumb opinion.
I guess we can just hand the league MVP trophy over to Collins right now, seeing how he's playing like such a -kicker.
VY is starting but playing poorly and the ans win............VY is a winner.
Kerry Collins is starting but playing average and the ans win.............It's because of the defense.
LOL
No, it's because Kerry Collins is God.
