you know what ads are the most annoying

I'm not sure if you get alot of them in Texas- but here in Ohio we get about 1 or 2 every commercial break. I have a problem with McCain's ads because they are all about scaring people into siding with him or else; they are all about pointing fingers. Here is what they will do... say that if you vote for Obama, he will tax you to death and you won't be able to live on what you take home and as a result you and your family will die a slow, painful death... then they play this stupid jingle and flash the McCain/Palin logo like they are here to save the day. I think what I find most annoying is the jingle

Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow...
Well, think about who is left in the undecided camp. These are not "issue" voters. Ads run for a single reason; they work. Every one you see, by either candidate is run at that time and place to appeal to a certain specific person.
Watch more PBS.
What is the "McSame" message designed to do?
Obama is the only Presidential candidate that has ever violated the sanc y of my home. I'm still trying to figure out why the his campaign called my 20 times in less than a week (including 5 times in 1 hour) leading up to the Primaries that I never even seriously considered voting in.
I'm just saying that I find the jingle very annoying. I also find it annoying that McCain whistles when he talks
I understand why they run ads though I'm not a complete moron
I get that; the vague point I was trying to make is that the people the ads are aimed at, are.
Commercials??????????
Thanks to TIVO, I haven't seen one of these in a long, long time.
You needed TIVO to skip commercials? I haven't watched a commercial (except the occassional superbowl ad) since I was in HS and I've never had TIVO/DVR service.
It's called having a "flip channel"...
well him and his campaign are desperate what do you expect?
Yeah, but sometimes when you aren't paying close attention you'll find yourself accidentally watching a commercial. Then you have to scramble for the clicker and dig through the couch cushions, etc.
TIVO is glorious. Don't ever doubt the awesomeness that is TIVO again.........or DVR, or suffer the wrath of infomercial .
If my kids don't mute the commercials, the TV goes off. No warnings.
I wasn't doubting the awesomeness of TIVO/DVR. My friend has DVR with U-verse and it looks like an absolutely marvelous tool! Just saying it's unneccessary.
And if the TV is on, the remote is in my hands, except when I'm eating, and I've thought of taping a fork to it so I wouldn't have to put it down to eat.
My friend, you are indeed wise.
I heard one ad executive claim that that was theft. You are being paid to watch commericials by watching the program, i.e. the program was your "paycheck". The "work" was watching the commercials.
VERY odd way of looking at it.
Yeah, if only they played the race card, talked about how his opponent is old and will die in office, call his opponent four more years of Bush horror, etc., they would be much less scary.
