Good fight for Shogun...exactly the type fo fight he needs...thank God he is not fighting a top 10 guy.
Rich vs Dan at 205...
I bet Shogun vs Coleman is at HW...Shogun just won't cut...

Let's hope he doesn't defeat himself mentally recalling what happened during their last fight. An injury like that would make anybody gun shy.

Don't expect head-to-head PPV even with UFC announcement today
By Dave Meltzer
Today's announcement of UFC 93 being added to the schedule on 1/17 from the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland, left a potential head-to-head showing on PPV, as well as more likely live compe ion between MMA and pro wrestling in the Dublin market.
The show, will be headlined by Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson. UFC sources have confirmed the fight will be at light heavyweight, with Henderson moving up a division and Franklin staying put. This means it is not a match where the winner would be in line for a match with Anderson Silva, who has beaten both men, who were considered by many as No. 2 and No. 3 as middleweights before Franklin moved up.
Also announced is the return of Maurcio "Shogun" Rua against Mark Coleman, who turns 44 before the match will take place. Coleman did defeat Rua in 2006 when Rua dislocated his elbow early in the match.
UFC also officially announced this as a PPV show and not a e special.
Affliction/Golden Boy had not announced a 1/17 date at the Honda Center in Anaheim for a combined MMA and boxing PPV show that would feature Fedor Emelianenko, but several key sources have confirmed that was the date they were looking for.
Promoter Tom Atencio indicated Affliction/Golden Boy would be looking at running a different date.
"It doesn't make sense to go head-to-head with them," he said. "People are going to be forced to make a choice. Either way, we both lose."
In what is purely a coincidence, the UFC show at this point is scheduled to go head-to-head in the Dublin market with a TNA house show that same day. It is possible TNA could move its show to the afternoon.
eTV contract…. and UFC is the moneymaker.
He has a lot to prove, he looked Awful against Forrest
but does UFC own part of TNA?
No but I am sure eTV would be a go between UFC and TNA to protect the ratings.
eTV has a lot to do with the UFC and TNA. eTV Has a lot more control over TUF and UFC Fight Night cards than is publically known. That tidbit kind of leaked out when eTV announced those two gusy from TUF 5 would fight on the card and had even chose what slot only to be swatted down by Dana once everyone threw a fit over it. Dana said something like "they set it up be we didn't want to go with it"
But I dont see how that would affect anything because House shows arent televised. They are basically a tour with their ongoing storylines.
Yeah I dunno then. Entertainment co's like Zuffa probably has a piece of a lot of other company's so if they did own a small piece of TNA (lol) I guess I wouldn't be shocked.
still feel the same?
I think I'm the only person on earth (besides Kevin Randleman and Phil Baroni) who will be pulling for Coleman.
Well he was a huge when Shogun ed up his arm, but other than that I've always liked him. So is Shogun staying at HW? I'd love to see him match up against Lesnar, Nog, Randy. I'm actually disappointed we never saw Coleman-Lesnar as planned.
We will see it if Lesnar loses to Randy
Just a little roid-rage. It happens.
I'm curious to see how Coleman will do with being allowed to use elbows again. He'll have to get Shogun down and hold him down to utilize them though. Easier said than done.
Eddie Alvarez vs Nick Diaz for EliteXC le.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wish that was this weekend!!!! Great fight!!!!!
Nate Diaz 9-2 vs. Clay Guida 23-6 at the TUF 8 Finale on e, Dec 13th
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice !!!!
I wanna say Guida, but i wouldn't be surprised to see Nate sub him. I'd rather see Huerta-Diaz.
Nate vs Gomi. Let's see what happens. Nate doesn't have the power nick does and he's probably no better than Gomi on the ground. It would still be interesting though considering Gomi is overrated and hasn't fought a legit opponent in years. When was the last time you heard his name? wow...
