To think Palin won tonight you either had to:
a. Have remarkably low expectations, or
b. Be deaf
Joe Biden was the most Presidential looking/sounding of any of the four debaters this week. That's not saying much, but he did well.
CNN asked their focus group who won the debate. It was about 50-50, slightly more for Biden, but the panelist chick called it an overwhelming win for Biden.

If I took a drink for everytime Palin dodged a question, or completely ignored the moderator, I'd be dead. She clearly has a shortlist of soundbites that she refers to whenever the going gets rough, or if she can't think of what to say.

She's asking us to vote her in as VP for the next 4 years .... which means she ought to be damn well sure she's just as prepared and knowledgable as Biden. She doesn't get graded on a curve because she's not a long term Washington insider.

I personally enjoyed when she went from a question on BANKRUPTCY to energy...god if McCain somehow wins and dies in office, I'm leaving. That woman would single-handedly take down this country.

If anything was a shining point, Biden finally went off on the "maverick" talk and win or lose this debate that was a crucial thing to have been said.

Flipping back and forth between CNN and Fox, I can draw one conclusion. These focus groups are on both sides. CNN's upholding their liberal bias, Fox their conservative bias.

That's about how I feel about it.
That said, all the liberal press expecting her to collapse, meltdown, etc. and finish off the McCain campaign got slapped tonight. Which in itself is a net plus for McCain-Palin.
