Calm down, Parky. You're starting to make even less sense than usual.
I like Wolf and Beck on CNN, H&C on Fox. That about covers it.
I've only seen a snipit of the Luntz show (if it is who I'm thinking of), but not enough to form a solid opinion one way or another.
Screw the diplomacy and congeniality. I know Democrats feel obligated to congratulate Palin for putting together consecutive strings of complete sentences, but all of us should expect better from a candidate for VP of the USA.
lakaluva, did you find that thread?
i'm just scared that her damn 6 year old daughter is going to drop that baby!!!
Agreed.
gawd she came of as ing annoying as .
Can she answer the ing question? "I know i can't answer the question like you all want me to" ---just stop right there hoe

I think Palin held her own tonight. I thought Biden did better but I'm obviously biased. The thing is, she's not stupid. She knows what she wants to do as VP and what McCain wants to do. She just isn't good at communicating that effectively. She stutters and repeats herself and sometimes rambles. But she didn't do that too much tonight so kudos to her.
Palin did good in terms of proving to America that she has a brain. That was her primary goal.
As far as her being a better VP candidate than Biden she did not accomplish that IMHO. Too many times she outright deflected and avoided questions altogether and started going off on some energy BS. I was having a hard time following her at times.
Perhaps her most damaging comment of the night was "I've only been at this 5 weeks....". Yea I think all of America realized that.
Biden came out the victor in my opinion. He successfully debated his argument that Obama/Biden would be a change from this administration and I ultimately think that will be all that matters in this election. People want change, Palin and McCain just call themselves Mavericks but their records and plans don't indicate that one bit.
Don't worry. The saliva makes it stick. That's how suction cups work, after all.
The Fox focus group was split 50-50 before the debate. But what was interesting was that so many of them really liked Sarah - and for the very reasons that so many of you libs here are bashing her - because she sounds like them and she's real.
I wonder if he has any idea who's standing next to you in your avatar.
I don't think Palin did too badly. She doesn't offend like some of the other women here, but I agree with Piston<Spurs (or did I mix up your name?!?) take on her.
you too? i thought it was only me...![]()
Thanks head.
Punish me for being successfull
Yeah, probably not.
It's not my most flattering pic, but I loved that he was in it, soooo...
Hornet just sucks.
okay ploto...it's way past time for you to pony up some pics...
I'm surprised nobody brought up Biden almost tearing up when he talked about his wife and child that passed away. That was a very powerful moment in this debate that tends to connect with low information voters. Ultimately when I look at Biden I see a very strong and independent person who who will tell Obama what he thinks is right/wrong, and that is what we need in a VP.
Not someone who is going to rubber stamp McCain. You really think McCain will listen to her on anything? Give me a break.
I typed over 30 years in Washington but for some reason it didn't come up.
I'm still shocked that she would admit to a desire to increase the power of the Vice President. She might be from the Cheney school of expansive executive power, but stating without reservation that she would advocate for further expansion is both amazing and, to me at least, frightening.
I love how people making > $250k act like a tax increase is going to ruin their lives. Obama will bring tax levels to what they were during the Clinton years when people were all doing VERY well.
What would you rather have, higher taxes with a stable economy? Or lower taxes with the dollar being worth nothing, your gas prices through the roof, and your house being worth nothing?
