Yeah FSM was a way better romance comedy than Knocked Up, I enjoyed it a lot. Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis were both smokin' hot. I have a soft spot for Mila Kunis because I watched That 70s Show religiously when it was airing. She looked damn fine in the last few seasons of that show when her chest and ass started to fill out.

My grading scale is a little tougher although they were all ok comedies. I didn't find myself shutting the TV off or walking out of the theater at least. The only three of those I'd consider "good" movies are the first three:

I own the first five on my list. All the unrated versions. They are all much better than any other comedy I can recall. I thought Wedding Crashers was a bit lame. Old School was funny, but also absurdity portrayed as reality, which irritates the out of me, and some of the other Will Ferrell films were good but hardly great. The Harold & Kumar films were very good, but, for me at least, not nearly as enjoyable on repeated viewings. I hate Ben Stiller and Jack Black, so my options are kind of limited.

Maybe I overrate them because they are some of the few comedies I enjoy, but those top four are really funny, and 40YOV is up there as well.

Talladega Nights was hilarious the first time I watched it, but even after two years had past, I ended up walking out on only my second viewing of it. I just didn't find it funny again. Pineapple Express was comical, but I could live without seeing it again. Dewey Cox was complete crap.

Just saw this movie...what the heck? It was horrible!! I easily fast forwarded a lot of those scenes and basically any scene involving that Russell Peters guy, cuz he's so frickin annoying and hideous looking.

I didn't enjoy Superbad either, didn't see what the hype over that was. Shoulda guessed. Anyways, Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin were about 40 times better.

If you didn't find those funny...probably because either #1 you're old as and don't get that type of humor, or #2 you don't have a sense of humor and shouldn't be renting those types of movies anyway.

Pineapple Express: Tough to judge. As a pothead I appreciated how seriously and realistically they treated marijuana. I liked that they made fun of the Percoset junkie who had a rat-tail in his hair. I liked how they made a point to tell the kids to never do cocaine. I liked how James Franco said, "I thought maybe we could look at some cool stuff on the internet together." All that said, I didn't think it was all that funny. Just cool.

I did think forgetting sarah marshall was funny, but not nearly as good as the others you have mentioned...and I never raved about superbad as much as everyone else I know did...I just didn't think it was as great as they loved it. I think 40 year old virgin wins out of these types of movies, followed by anchorman.

Or #3, I have decent taste in movies. I bet you half the guys in this thread wouldn't have liked this movie as much if it weren't for the fact that the 2 main chicks were Hot.
