Anyone notice on EXC broadcast that o is having back surgery next week? Reading his autobiography its pretty clear his back is wrecked....could be an ender? My guess is EXC made him take a physical and told him no way will they sign him until he gets this fixed.
If he has back surgery I can't see him fighting until next summer

Word out of Zuffa HQ is that Cung Le is in talk regarding a 3 fight deal in the UFC, with 1 of the fights rumoured to be against Anderson Silva.

Sounds good to me. He punished Frank. Frank isnt Anderson Silva by any means, but it proves that Le could be a factor in the UFC. I want it! Oh, and yes of course Anderson would win just for the simple fact that he can outclass everyone.
nice. one of my fraternity bros loves cung le and forced everyone to watch his highlights. even though i thought he looked good in those highlights i wasnt sure he would mount to anything in the big leagues until he defeated frank. now im curious to see more. hope the deal gets done.

Cung is one of the few guys that could stand with Anderson. Once it clinches up or goes to the ground Silva will own him though.

No need to be nervous he is not going anywhere. He maybe is waiting for the Penn fight to be over to negotiate a deal. Or maybe the hold-up on inking that fight is his new contract being ironed out right now. I am very confident he'll win that fight. Only scenario i could see there being a problem is if he loses to Penn and the UFC tries to him over on a new deal. He probably will want a deal with nice PPV percentages and what not. The UFC is the only big time game in town. He can't really go anywhere for long anyway.

Why are you a little worried about GSP and his contract??
He just signed up with a big name sports firm that will likely take him to free agency and Affliction might give him insane money to leave.

I read that as well but i don't think that means he is going FA. Long-Term it is all about the UFC. GSP is not like o. Of course GSP wants to get paid but o is really only fighting for money these days. His legacy is no longer relevant as he can't beat so many top 205 pd fighters. GSP believes he can beat anyone. Being the WW champ means the world to him. All the big fights that will define his all time status are in the UFC and besides do you really think for one second that Dana and the UFC would let him go?? Talk about a public relations nightmare

Dana talks all the time how nobody is making money but them. He is pretty much right. GSP's long term future is with the UFC and the UFC alone. He has to know this.
We'll see...Arlovski is gone and you never know what someone will offer a UFC star.

I'm talking long-term though Evan. And i fully believe every word of what i said about GSP caring about his legacy is 100% Accurate. He knows what's up and is not just about making a quick buck. I love o but that is what he is all about.
I really dont see Affliction and Elite XC lasting much longer anyway. Losing GSP would be a huge loss to the UFC and Dana knows that.
