WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee plans to file a fundraising complaint against Democrat Barack Obama's presidential campaign Monday, alleging it has accepted donations that exceed federal limits as well as illegal contributions from foreigners.
RNC officials acknowledged Sunday that they do not have a list of foreign donors to Obama's campaign. Instead, the complaint is based largely on media reports, including one from a conservative Web site.
The complaint asks the Federal Elections Commission to audit Obama's campaign fund, RNC chief counsel Sean Cairncross said in a conference call with reporters.

anything obama does is even if he breaks the rules
Real issues? You mean like Palin's daughter being pregnant, McCain not using email, etc? Yeah, you Dems have the market cornered on real issues!
Or like Barney Frank trying to play the race card today because Republicans are singling out the high risk loans Fannie and Freddie gave to low income families for homes they couldn't afford, saying Republicans were targeting blacks to blame the financial crisis on
Yeah, real issues and distractions indeed!
Once again, AHF, it wasn't the high risk loans that cause this. It was the re-packaging and selling of them as low risk securities that's setting off this financial bomb. Maybe I was giving you too much credit too be able to see the difference. Nice GOP parroted soundbite, though.
Fishing expedition. Nice. How desperate are we, GOP?
Republicans are pissing their panties!
True, there are always going to be ty debts. Hopefully there won't be as many ways to hide them after this is all over.
Fishing?
Barack Obama's fundraising has been riddled with fraud from the beginning. In a case of "better late than never," the McCain campaign announced in a press conference today that it will file a complaint with the FEC. The sort of blatant criminality from which Obama has benefited is suggested by this report by Newsweek's Michael Isikoff:
These crimes came to light because the people who made the illegal contributions made no effort at concealment. There is no easy way to know how much of Obama's loot is in fact illegal.
The issue of illegal foreign contributions is one that the mainstream media have successfully kept out of the news, but it is a serious concern:
This pattern of criminality is not accidental. It is, rather, an indictment of the scofflaw character of Obama's campaign:In a similar case earlier this year, the campaign returned $33,000 to two Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip who had bought T shirts in bulk from the campaign's online store. They had listed their address as "Ga.," which the campaign took to mean Georgia rather than Gaza.
The rampant fraud that supports Barack Obama's campaign is a serious matter--a criminal matter, in fact. But not in the eyes of the Associated Press. An AP reporter participated in today's press conference and wrote this report, reproduced here in its entirety to show what an utter whitewash of the Obama campaign it is:This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. The McCain campaign agreed; the Obama campaign did not.
Note, in particular, the absurdity of this observation:The Republican National Committee plans to file a fundraising complaint against Democrat Barack Obama's presidential campaign Monday, alleging it has accepted donations that exceed federal limits as well as illegal contributions from foreigners.
RNC officials acknowledged Sunday that they do not have a list of foreign donors to Obama's campaign. Instead, the complaint is based largely on media reports, including one from the conservative Web site Newsmax.
The complaint asks the Federal Elections Commission to audit Obama's campaign fund, RNC chief counsel Sean Cairncross said in a conference call with reporters.
Cairncross said little is known about many of Obama's donors because the campaign is not required to disclose detailed information about people who give less than $200.
The Obama campaign, which is not accepting public funds, has raised more than $468 million. About half has come from small donors, a point of pride for the Obama campaign.
The Obama campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
It is illegal for foreigners to donate to an American political campaign, and Obama has refused to release information about his "small" donors. So how, exactly, could the Republican Party possibly have a "list of foreign donors to Obama's campaign"?RNC officials acknowledged Sunday that they do not have a list of foreign donors to Obama's campaign.
Running interference for criminal fraud: that's the role of the Associated Press since it became a liberal advocacy organization.
Pamela Geller has devoted substantial time and effort to exposing Obama's illegal campaign contributions with a special eye to his illegal foreign contributions. She comments on Isikoff's story: "The Newsweek article includes statement by the Obama campaign that they returned all the money from Palestinian brothers. The records show they did not."
Geller has now collected the links to her series of posts on the subject in "Obama contributions: The RNC finally blinks! Atlas gets results! Newsweak plagiarizes Atlas." Geller's column "Obama's foreign donors: The media averts its eyes" provides a useful summary of her work.
Among the donors Geller identified this past July, for example, was this fellow:
Only the money, of course, is real.Name: Hbkjb, jkbkj
City: Jkbjnj
Works for: Kuman Bank [doesn't exist]
Occupation: Balanon Jalalan
Amount: $1,077.23
Fishing, indeed. Obama's got more trouble than whom he associates with.
So Yoni plagiarizes a blog that accuses Newsweek of plagiarizing a blog.
If Obama's campaign isn't releasing the names of it's contributors, why does the plagiarized blog list names of the contributors?
Since the latter is made up of the former, I'm not sure how you think the difference is all that important. Isn't it what Bush has been trying to get congress to do something about for a year?
Again, if the buyers of these securities knew that they were full of ty debt, they would not have bought so many of them and risked so much of their money on them.
And, it keeps piling up...
More Bogus Obama Donors Surface.
Since it's CBS, though, we should probably ask for a second opinion.
Of course it's a fishing expedition. It's stated in the article itself:
RNC officials acknowledged Sunday that they do not have a list of foreign donors to Obama's campaign. Instead, the complaint is based largely on media reports, including one from a conservative Web site.
That means they actually have no evidence of any wrongdoing. So they're asking the Federal Elections Commission to launch a fishing expedition to see if they catch something.
+1 The markets can deal with anything they understand, including high risk paper. They had no idea that those AAA rated securities were really DDD. When they had to be re-classified, it required more collateral against their short term loans, which reduced their liquidity to zero, or less. Bank fails.
The Ken Starr plan.
Sorry, but you are going the wrong direction again. "It's the wall that killed him, not the bricks." Without the rotten debt, there are no questionable mortgage backed securities to sell. You basically had companies making loans to themselves for assets they didn't actually have, hence the "bubble". In this case, one hand didn't know what the other was doing.
haha yes.
It's too ing easy to predict race card slinging by the left nowadays.
What a bunch of whiners.
Riiiiiiiight.
You fail.
That second post was from the perspective of you silly lib s.
You stupid neocants are pissing your panties.
I know. Yet why did you decide to add "white" in there. You think a liberal would point out his race? Maybe you were looking at it in the eyes of a black person? Oh but that wouldn't be racist would it?
the neocons Joe. We just don't like Obama
