Use this topic to ask Peter Burns any questions you might have to help you in your quest to get up close and personal with the man they call Peter Burns.
I will go first..............
Now that your doing a morning show what time do you go to bed at night and what do you miss by not being up late?
![]()
What was your handicap in college and do you get to play anymore on the weekends or the weekdays?
Yeah that's all anyone would really be interested in asking, about Stacie....
What kind of dumb question was that, you can see her damn roots...
Mr. Burns
How long you lived in San Antonio?
What NBA team was you a fan of before?
When did you decide to go into radio?
How did you meet Stacie?
What is your favorite drink?
Are you dating now?
Does Andy Everett help you on the air or is in the way?
How come you never have a GTG at your place?
Where is a picture of you and Chris Duel together if your such great friends?
Have you ever done stand up?
What are your plans for this weekend?
more to come........................................
On what channel?
I wish I could actually know less about Peter Burns, but I don't think that's possible...
Would you rather know more about Chris Duel?
![]()
The dude is here 24/7 then you make a topic about him, ask a few questions, and he pulls a Chris Duel?
Used to be a night owl. Normally wouldn't get to bed until around Midnight.
I'm in bed by 10:30. Just exhausted by the end of the day. I'm up at 5. In the studio by 6.
I miss going out during the week the most. So it cut into County Line concerts on Wednesdays, and partying during the week. I saw Robert Earl Keen last night 100% sober last night. It was a weird feeling.
Was a 1 in Highschool.
Lived in a 4 Bedroom Apartment by myself and had a fake ID in College at UTSA....so........Handicap went to 4 or 5 at UTSA. Shot 88 once in the Texas A&M Tournament.
Made a 1.5 GPA one semester after partying so much, Coach and my parents threatned to yank my scholarship. So after 2 years, decided to move on.
Transferred to St. Mary's. Played my last 2 years there. Got he handicap down to 0, and won a tournament in 2001.
Don't play much anymore. Not enough time in the week, and weekends are spent either doing shows, or sitting on the couch watching football. I'm about a 6 now.
PM5K nailed it....the answer I mean....OR MAYBE NOT!!
Any pics?
Peter why you never dropped your laptop off?
Thats a shame, if you had a 0 you could've gave the mini tours a shot and then who knows.
Who was your swing coach?
Mine was Joe Caruso, damn good swing coach.
Sorry T but I have to call BS w/o any pics!![]()
?
A picture of me and my golf swing coach?
uh can't say I ever wanted to or did take one....
15 Years Total. About 2 Years the first time. 91-93. Went to Bradley Middle School and Went to Mac for a Semester before moving to Kingwood, then moved back in 1996, and enrolled at Churchill because of the golf teamMr. Burns
How long you lived in San Antonio?
Grew up a Celtics fan, loved Larry Bird. Then lived near Dallas for 2 years, and liked the Mavs with Rolando Blackman, Wild man Brad Davis, and Roy Tarpley. Became Spurs fan when I moved here in 91.What NBA team was you a fan of before?
Was in the gas and oil industry, and listened to Tony Bruno and the Morning Extravagaza every morning. (Still the best show ever!) Stacie and I won the "Be Andrew for the Day Contest". When we came back, she was offered a gig through Hooters, and I tagged around, until the right opportunity came around"When did you decide to go into radio?
Outside the old Observatory Night Club. Saw her and a friend. They kept passing by me and a buddy that night. Asked her to dance, she gave me the Heisman, and wrote her off until she saw me another night at a Robert Earl Keen ConcertHow did you meet Stacie?
Beer: Miller Lite or StellaWhat is your favorite drink?
Mixed: Crown and Sprite
Other: El Mirasol Margaritas
Yes and No.Are you dating now?
Not much time, but still hang out with a bunch of different great girls. Not much of commitment guy right now....for reasons known on this board...![]()
Andy is really good, and has helped me know more about the ins and outs. He's a play-by-play guy, and I think that's why some people don't exactly like his style. What people don't know, is that he's as animated as anyone, and if you heard the stuff he talks about off the air, your jaw would drop because his opinions and takes are really strong. But I think he protects himself and his play-by-play, and is careful about putting that in jeopardy. So I try to get him out of that element as much as possible. It's a fun game to play everyday. How to get Andy pissed off, or out of his comfort level. We're good friends.Does Andy Everett help you on the air or is in the way?
I do occassionaly, but it's for really close friends. Not big into house parties so much. Rather be out and about. How come you never have a GTG at your place?
Don't think I have one with Chris. Although we've known each other via friends for a while. He's a good guy, and him and the crew have been cool over there. It doesn't bother me that they rip me in their show every once in a while. As long as it's above the belt stuff, I've got a thick skin, and it's all in good nature fun.Where is a picture of you and Chris Duel together if your such great friends?
Keg Stands. Not Stand Up.Have you ever done stand up?
Amazing that people do that. Doing a radio show is easy compared to that. , I'm in a booth, so when I throw a lame joke, I might get an email or text saying it bombed, but being in front of a crowd and doing that would be some scary S***
Spurs game in a bit. Then Cowboys to meet up with some of the beautiful Freshman Crop of San Antonio ladies at the Darius Rucker concert. What are your plans for this weekend?
UT-Oklahoma BBQ tomorrow, then pace my Miller Lite intake before the big LSU-Florida game tomorrow night.
more to come
Sorry my bad!
I didn't take my time and read the replies I thought you was talking about a gymnastic coach! or this guy.
I didn't mean it in a bad way it just sounded like me saying I had a Collage professor @ UCLA![]()
Thought about it. After my last year playing for St. Mary's. I still had one more year to go to get my degree. I was working at Edwin Watts.
I was then playing my best. Was always between 68-74.
Won the Corpus Christi City Championship that Summer, shot 66-72. The 72 the last day included a 10 on the 15th hole....F'n Van De Velde'd it.
But got a damn good job right after school, so couldn't pass up the $
Joe was my coach for while. He's a different kind of guy, but a great player and teacher. We used to play a bunch back at Northern Hills in the day.
Yeah Joe isn't the most personable but hes a damn good swing coach.
I was a 14 when I went to him and in 3 months I was down to a 5. Dudes a miracle worker.
I know what you mean. After High School I played the texas star tour for a while and made some money doing that, but to do it right you need sponsors and backers to pay for the trips hotels and expenses and I just couldn't get them lined up.
You should join Andy on his morning golf show, that could use some ing up from time to time
Andy should also do a charity golf tourny in the winter, like late November early December![]()
