Dammit this pisses me off. Tolliver is really making an impact in every other part of the game except for the one he really needs to be. C'mon Tolliver...you have to cure is from Bonner!

    How bad is freaking Bonner?

Bonner is pretty much worthless apart from hitting the occasional shot. Too slow on D.

We're all listening to the audio feed so we can't really say much as we can't view the game.

Finley looks pretty good and Hill is looking solid again as well. Tolliver knows how to find the ball but can't put it in the basket. Parker is Parker and Duncan is Duncan.

Sounds like the Spurs offense is going to definitely be better than last year with Duncan and Parker in the game.

    Updates: Spurs vs. Hornets
    MySanAntonio.com - SPURS-HORNETS GAME BLOG

    SECOND QUARTER

Anthony Tolliver was one of the new Spurs who saw playing time in the first half. Tolliver had four points and six rebounds in 12 minutes as the Spurs took a 51-49 halftime lead.

Tolliver, a center, is listed at only 6-foot-8. Despite that, he looks more than happy to throw his body around in the lane and fight for rebounds. He has a wide enough body to muscle some people out of the way. Tolliver also showed his versatility by hitting a 3-pointer.

Tolliver averaged 11.6 points and 6.4 rebounds last season in the NBA Developmental League. He averaged 13.4 points and 6.7 rebounds as a senior at Creighton.

Former Spur and San Antonio high school legend Devin Brown saw action for the Hornets in the second quarter.

Tim Duncan looks well rested. Early in the second quarter he grabbed an offensive rebound, spun around and threw down a dunk. He added a driving dunk later in the quarter.

    FIRST QUARTER

The Spurs youngsters got a lot of playing time in the first quarter and the Hornets finished the period with a 31-30 lead.

Tony Parker and Michael Finley led the Spurs with eight points each. The slimmed-down Finley hit two 3-pointers.

Rookie point guard George Hill and shooting guard Roger Mason Jr. were the first two new Spurs to get into the game. Hill got some playing time alongside Spurs veterans like Duncan and Finley.

Hill found himself matched up against Hornets star point guard Chris Paul. Hill made a pair of free throws after being fouled on a fast break. He added a 3-pointer that put the Spurs in front 28-23.

The Spurs and Hornets, two of the top teams in the West last season, shot like playoff teams in the opening minutes with their starters on the floor. They combined to hit 15 of their first 21 shots. The Spurs took an 18-17 lead.

Spurs starters: Tim Duncan, Matt Bonner, Bruce Bowen, Michael Finley and Tony Parker.

    PREGAME

Tim Duncan, Bruce Bowen and Michael Finley are in uniform for tonight's game. All three sat out Thursday's game in Houston.

A bunch of new Spurs will get their first taste of the AT&T Center tonight when the Spurs take on the New Orleans Hornets.

It is the second preseason game for the Spurs, who lost in Houston on Thursday night.

Several young Spurs got extensive playing time against the Rockets. Expect more of the same tonight.

The Hornets already have two preseason victories under their belts.
