bay home run
the dodgers finished 6 games above .500
dodgers were close to .500 before manny
with manny boston averaged 4.2 runs
without manny 6.2 runs a game!
could not catch it so he hit one himself
3 rbi tonight
humm
upton has 3 homeruns
manny 3 homeruns
bay 3 homeruns this post season
manager of boston is stupid
he should have pulled becket
another bay rbi
ducks, who dropped you on your head??
ok u idiot. the dbacks played the same teams before september. so they shoulda had a big lead leading into september and kepted that lead based on your stupid ass arguement.
Hitting .474 with 3 HR, 8 RBI, and 7 walks in 5 1/2 playoff games is completely unacceptable; ducks is absolutely right.
Just to keep track of this -- through 6 postseason games for each:
Manny -- .450 BA (9-20); .593 OBP (16-27); .950 SLG (3 HR, 1 2B, 5 1B); 8 RBI; rec. 4-2
Bay -- .440 BA (11-25); .517 OBP (15-29); .920 SLG (3 HR, 3 2B, 5 1B); 9 RBI; rec. 4-2
The Red Sox clearly don't need a hitter of that calibar in a game like today.
Just to put these numbers in print somewhere:
Manny Ramirez
8 games
AVG: .520 (13-25)
OBP: .667 (24-36)
SLG: 1.080 (27 total bases in 25 AB)
OPS: 1.747
Runs: 9
2B: 2
HR: 4
RBI: 10
Walks: 11
More than just the sheer numbers is the consistency: he had a hit in every postseason game this year, but he had 2 hits in 5 of the Dodgers' 8 postseason games. He also scored in 6 of his team's 8 games, and he drove in a run in 7 of those 8 games, including all 5 LCS games

Manny is an insane hitter, but damn Bay has done an admirable job of filling in.
