again, I don't know where you were, or whether you had your eyes closed, but I go to Puerto Madero every day, and there are BMW's everywhere, Benz although not as numerous are quite common, and Audis are everywhere. You're either blind, or you're talking out of your ass.

P.S. Of course, we are talking about the richest section of Buenos Aires, so it really doesn't represent Argentina as a whole. I do believe you're exaggerating though, they are not as rare as you're making them out to be.
What part of 'outside of Puerto Madero, Palermo or Devoto' you didn't understand?
Ofcourse Puerto Madero is not reperesentative of Argentina. It's not even representative of 5% of the entire Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires alone.

What you're telling me is that Ferraris are not that rare in Argentina because you live in Avenida del Libertador... it's just stupid.
And you can't tell me with a straight face that people don't turn around when they see a Porche 911 going around.

I'm saying you're making it sound as if a BMW, a Benz or an AUDI are rare sightings here, and I'm telling you you're full of . I didn't say anything about a Porshe or a Ferrari, which I think are pretty rare in most places, but that's just me.

EDIT: I missed the part of outside of Puerto Madero, Palermo or Devoto, my bad.

Ever been to San Isidro? Acasuso? Martinez?

They're such a common occurence that even you admit that you can only spot them basically in ONE neighborhood on THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.

Thank you, you just made my point.

Edit: I've been to San Isidro and Martinez. Again, not representative of Argentina overall at all. I mean, you just need to take a look at General Paz or Panamericana and take a look. Ford, Peugeot, Fiat... That's common. Small cars in general. The rest is more or less a rarity.

Give me a ing break! A Benz is not a rare sighting in Buenos Aires, anybody who has been here more than a ing week knows this, a BMW and an Audi even less so. From your answer I can probably tell you've never been to San Isidro, or Acasuso, or Martinez or anywhere in Zona Norte for that matter. By the way, Buenos Aires isn't the entire country, there are areas of Mendoza where those cars aren't that rare either.

Pleeease! show me a place that is representative of any country where BMW's, Benz's and Audis are "common". Obviously, I wasn't saying everyone is driving one. I'm saying people don't turn their head at the sight of one is what I'm saying.

In fact, I can honestly say to you that I probably see 3 or 4 of each on an everyday basis around Capital Federal

LOL. The funny thing is that Manu has said he likes German cars. And I know he owns at least a BMW and an Audi.

Now on a more serious note, and back to what I was saying, any of those cars (rare or not, so we don't upset our Argie friend here :LOL), still cost upwards of $50K new over there, but the difference is that there's basically no credit for purchasing cars over there, which means only the real rich people can afford them. Naturally, driving one of those can easily be construed as showing off.

I'm no expert on the subject or anything, but you own a Benz, and from the description of your parking lot, I'm pretty sure yours is no accurate representation of the US.

I wonder if this question has been taken out of context.

As many have precluded, the English language is very unique in the way sentences are structured. I'm wondering, more or less if Manu takes the Einstein approach that God is more super-personal than personal.

    As translated...

Autumn: Answer a question please! What meaning does God have in your life?
    Manu: I am not Believing!

Therefore, by answering in such a way, Manu's comments do not commit him to a religion, or personal relationship with God, such as being a Christian.

Personally, if these statements are true, which I have no reason to believe otherwise, it is disappointing. As a Christian, I do care about the faith of other individuals. However, I also respect a person's right to choose as they see fit.

Well, I can tell you that from what he wrote, there is absolutely no ambiguity, he does NOT believe in God. I'm sorry if that is disappointing for you, but that's what he said.

Did I say it's a big apartment complex?
Well, I've been to Miami, Orlando, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Portland, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, the Valley in South Texas, Portland, Connecticut, New York, Philadelphia, Detroit and obviously Jersey, and I'd say with the exception of the Valley and Detroit, the rest are pretty representative. The trick is that all those brands here in the US are not substaintially more expensive that Volvo or Cadillac, or even compared to a good Honda car.

Again, I didn't say everyone was driving them, or that they were the most common cars around. Here's what I said

Ok, would it be fair to say that's uncommon then? IE, it's not a common vehicle to see? I think were dealing with semantics at this point.

Okay....Don't cry for me Argentina. (Okay, that was kinda lame)

But do you understand what I am saying? One could interpret Manu's comments as a statment that God does not have any (personal) meaning in Manu's life, which would be different than saying Manu does not believe in the existance of God.

I'm asking these questions because the English language can be tricky when dealing with translations. However, I'll take the opinions of other native Argentinians regarding the translation.

What Manu was trying to say is, that because of his injury, he really doesn't believe in himself right now.

He said, without a doubt, the he does not believe in God.
Let me make it more clear, so there's no second guessing about the translation: The expression he used is the expression used in our country to say that you don't believe in God. We normally don't go as far as distinguishing wether you're agnostic or atheist, we just say wether we believe or not. He doesn't.
