Hard to say. I never have.
I thought Franklin and Edison were deists?
Hard to say. I never have.
Are you going to have to come up with something else once Manu returns from injury?

Well there are certain studies that show that well-educated people are much less likely to believe in God...
So, intelligence has nothing to do with faith?
Are you going to ridicule whottt if Obama wins?

I love a man who cooks.
Manu has always been very kind to me. While we are not friends in the traditional sense of daily interaction and communication, I still consider him a friend and will pray for him as such.
Manu knows my views on God. More than once I have told him I am praying for him, something for which he has always thanked me for.
That said, as a someone who loves Jesus, I want everyone to love Jesus.
And as someone who strives to live my life according to the Bible's teachings, I want those making decision on my behalf to make decision in accordance with the Word of God.
That is why I can in good conscience both vote for most Biblically correct candidate and still love Manu even while he is still not yet a Christian.![]()
Taking God at His Word above all others is the smartest thing anyone can do.

Honestly though, do you believe that those that don't believe are somehow less intelligent than those that do?
Angel, I could go to great lengths but instead I'll try a shortcut.....who has the highest IQ in the world?
What is her political inclination?
Who did she support in the last Presidential election?
I don't know that any human can measure intelligence in a fair, unbiased way.
There are high iq people that make some incredibly stupid life decisions and there are people with limited educations that make great success of themselves.
All I know for sure is that what matters most in life is honoring God and loving people and neither excessive education or lack thereof should get in the way of that.
I don't know the answers to any of those questions, nor can I imagine how they are relevent.
Intelligence is the ability to know that faith is what it is and to know that everyone has the ability to make their own decisions. Intelligence means you have the ability to reason and do so in a way that acknowledges the fact that there are just some things that people do not understand.
A new level of whotttness. Thanks for the laugh Kevin.
PS:
David Robisnon's SAT score qualified him for MENSA, he has a degree in mathematics, his Mom once won a shopping spree and he totalled the bill(with tax) in his head while accompanying her. As a teen he built tv sets. He is extremely intelligent by any definition of the word...he is also a bible thumpin' Jesus freak to the absolute max.
Go ahead and call him a dumbass...
If he was smart like Manu, he'd be an atheist.
I'm about to leave work, so talk to you guys later.
Have a great afternoon all.![]()
People that do not believe are not dumb. There are many people who do not believe but act more in accordance with God's directions than a lot of people that say they believe but do not follow through.
I was actually a Christian once, and I know exactly what you're saying. But this is exactly where the church lost me, the whole 'blindly following the fairy tale' part.
That said, I'm going to tell you that my non belief is what works for me. But also Christianity is what works for my mother, and you too, I'm sure. Just as a psychologist or psychiatrist works for other people.
And at the end of the day, I have to respect religion in that sense. It works for some people and make them happy. I can't argue with that.
Yes, DRob is smarter that all these ppl:
Albert Einstein
Abraham Lincoln
Ernest Hemingway
Charles Darwin
Galileo Galilei
Benjamin Franklin
Thomas Edison

There has to be some level of intellegence in order to grasp the concept of faith.
Beyond that, the two are seperate.
I am a believer, but I decide not to get too caught up in the semantics. I look for what the bible is asking. I look for what rights do all people have as humans and the ones that match are the principles I follow. I figure acting like a good person and believing hurts no one. If I believe and live a good life, then die and nothing happens, I am no worse off. My life was not wasted because I can be proud of how I lived. The only reason I believe is because the true principles of the bible are good for everyone regardless if you believe in God or just in being a good person. I believe because I will never count out the fact that there are so many things in the universe we can not figure out.
oh you think?
I bet you I can make the dumbest idiot beleive in God.
You know what I tell him? Beleive or you will burn for all eternity in a fire. And then I show him some pictures of the fire.
religion through fear is something that the dumbest ppl can understand, that is why it is so succesful
I'm sure David Robinson is a very smart person, but I can double you down with Albert Einstein, an self-proclaimed agnostic. There it goes your 'the smartest dude is a bible thumpin' Jesus freak' argument...
Then again, you get owned too often these days...
