He has not played for a couple days, not playing in preseason games might mean that he wiilll be waived. The spurs definitely needs to sign him if that happens imo. Or maybe they can make a trade for him if possible.

Of course, he did play tonight and did ok.
HE'S IRANIAN! HE MIGHT BOMB! (play on words... off sensitive Persians).
If he can't make Memphis's roster, what would make you think hes good enough for the Spurs?
IIRC, he got a three-year, $4.5 million contract. He's not going to be waived. He'll just sit on the deep bench for the Grizzlies and prove to be a bust, most likely.
I don't think the Grizz have to waive him at this point -- and they are going to suck anyway so why not develop him? Or they could even send him to Bismark.
memphis already got enough tall centers. The spurs have ... Oberto, they could use a 7 2 guy and with the spur tradition of developing international player, i could see him develop into a star.
He's not gonna suck, have you seen him play? That guy is a rebounding beast. His offense is a bit raw and he's a project but hey, Yao Ming was a project when he came into the league too.
I'd take him. Iranian Gasol sounds good enough for me.
Except he's not available, and likely won't be for three years when his $4.5M contract expires.
Realistic scenarios, people. Realistic scenarios.
Trade Vaughn for the Persian!
Haddadi does NOT suck.
This fool grabbed 7 rebounds and 5 points in 10 minutes.
The Grizz already know that he has to learn the NBA game but the raw talent and 7'2 size is there. His other problem is his conditioning, he's not ready to play big NBA minutes.
I'd beg to disagree.
Labeling a guy as a project implies that that player has physical talent, but does not have the basketball skills yet to be an effective player.
I'm not saying that Yao's game was already complete before going to the NBA. But skills-wise, I'd say he was already more polished at that point than most rookies are.
And Bonner, don't forget Bonner. He's doing nothing since the Bonner for Kobe trade fell through.
I think we'll have enough room on the bench for players who wont produce much. No need to grab another.
Agree he doesn't suck. I saw him with his National Team I guess in Dallas before the Olympic Games and he looked pretty good. Strong guy and good moves.
Wait two years after he becomes a 20/10 type of guy and offer Matt Bonner and a draft pick. Maybe then.
