If this thread has been done before then my bad for making a repeat, but here we go.
Last Wednesday I got a tattoo. Totally never saw myself getting one, but after a few drinks and some persuasion from my friends, I decided to get one. It's on my back just below my right shoulder. The tat is a red heart (with some kick ass shading, the guy who inked me is a damn good tattoo artist) with a tan colored banner wrapped around the heart. Inside the banner is the text "Love Is All You Need," which all of you should recognize as lyrics from the Beatles song "All You Need Is Love". The tat means a lot to me since it is not only a musical reference (The Beatles have been hugely influential to me as a guitar player) but it also reflects my personality a little bit too. I'll post a picture of it in a few days after it is fully healed and done peeling.
I'm proud of it because I did the concept artwork for it at the tattoo parlor. The guy wanted to know how I envisioned it so I did a sketch, and then he did a more detailed one. Each day that goes by I love it more and more, and all of my friends do as well. I showed it to my parents last weekend when I dropped by to pick up a few things. Dad's words "I don't care man, it's your back". Mom loved it, I thought she'd flip out for sure.
So... anyone else here have tattoos, and if so, what are they of and where on your body did you get inked?

NOTE: For anyone who thinks a tat should be a spontanious thing drunk, it's not normally a good idea. You should think them out. You shouldn't get inked just to look tough or because you see others do it, it should say something and be significant if not spiritual...

That tat is seriously pretty gay. If I saw a guy with a tat like that I'd definitely think he's had few s up his ass.
Also, JT, I don't know if your still on drugs and , but I can definitely see that tat being problematic if you land yourself in prison.
I guess it's a good thing I don't plan on going to ing prison any time soon, if ever.

I got some friends with WTF tats but when they go into there meaning, I respect why they got it. Something said by you can be deep but will always seem lame to someone else and vice verse.
