We need to keep Toll and Farmer. Keep Salim or Hairston if the Spurs can move Bonner or Vaughn or both.

TIMVP if you were doing it who would be cut.

Lets say there are two spots to be had.

I say they take Tolliver Stoudamire.

I would LIKE them to take Tolliver and Hairston.

Ideally, Tolliver, Hairston, Farmer, trade Bonner.

I've been in and out of this game, so take this with a grain of salt. But I'm increasingly of the opinion that Farmer and Hairston are in a dead heat for the final spot, with Tolliver already on the team. Green and Watkins will get their pink slip tomorrow morning. However, if the Spurs can't move Bonner or Vaughn, I'd prefer they keep both Farmer and Hairston. Farmer has an S-Jax quality to his game, minus the looney tune brain waves. As odd as this sounds, if the Spurs could move Vaughn, I'd be in favor of

    Parker/Hill/Farmer
    Mason/Ginobili/Fin
    Bowen/Udoka/Hairston
    Duncan/Bonner/Tolliver
    Thomas/Oberto/Mahinmi

Tough, tough cuts this year, especially because I don't think they'll be able to find a taker for Vaughn.

    +1

If it was allowed Pop would've been sitting in his office with a Pinot Noir and sweatpants already.

    FARMER!!!!!!!

A little too late though, very good showing though.
If I'm not mistaken he barely got into the game until the fourth.

Seriously.... objectively.. regardless of being friends with Hill... Vaughn doesn't have near the tools of Hill.. even with his experience... I don't see it benefiting him much.
That's great to know because I don't wanna see Vaughn out there at all.

I would keep Tolliver and Farmer... send Hairston to the Toros... just to start the season... then as the season goes on and Manu comes back, we'll see

Yeah while I don't have the full on mancrush everyone else does on Farmer, I like his scoring ability but fear hes a Ron Mercer like scorer and not a Stephen Jackson like scorer.

Tolliver is a definate keeper I can't wait to watch that kid up against the other good lineups, and I think Hairston is worth the roster spot to develop in Austin all year.

Played a tad in the first half, started the second half with Duncan and others in place of Finley.

Maybe if Manu was healthy from the start, but i cant see Pop going with only a rookie PG backing Parker.

These cuts are going to be killer.

So does it look like the two spots are going to Salim and Tolliver, that seems to be the general (depressing) consensus.

I'd hope for Watkins and Farmer personally, though that's pretty impossible.

Well I'd actually like Farmer, Tolliver, Hairston and Stoudamire.

If we could just dump Bonner and Vaughn.

Farmer, Hairston, and Tolliver all should make the team. I'd say it's very possible that the Spurs are trying desperately to move Bonner or probably working out a buyout/waive for Vaughn in order to keep all 3. I would.

I still think Vaughn could be a highly overpaid assistant coach until later in the season.

I'm not sold on Salim. And I think being injured really lowered his chances.

Yeah, I tried to rob this restaurant the other day and I grabbed Farmer's wallet by mistake.

To my mind, it's worth the 1.2 million to have Hairston in Austin and, possibly, Tolliver too. Buy him out, baby.
