is it just me, or does Tim look better than he has in years?(from a physical standpoint, of course)..he looks to be moving quicker and more athletically..great to see that he's focused(not that there was any doubt) and ready to take a bigger part with Manu out until December-January..

also, how many minutes do you guys foresee Tim playing in November-December with Manu out? we're definitely gonna have to rely HEAVILY on Parker and Duncan for creating offense..

Obstructed_View mentioned it. I haven't been able to see him on the court yet.

What's funny to me is that I haven't seen any mention of how much more athletic Duncan looks this year. He's been much quicker and has had some explosion to his jumps. I'm sure I'm not the only person here that noticed.

I remember a couple years where Tim started out like it was gonna be end-to-end MVP year, then by mid-Nov, end Nov latest, he was idling.

Man I hope he plays like a young fresh guy again.

Take control and start dunking over people. Get that ball in the basket with some force, while also staying fundamentally sound.

He's just quicker and stronger. He didn't look all that amazing, but then you look up and he's got 20 points, 8 boards, a couple of steals and a block in 20 minutes. Good free throw shooting helped tonight, but he's been scorchingly efficient when I've seen him.

    It's called fresh legs.

T.D. knows he's going to have to step up with Manu out, so expect to see the T.D. from pre-Horry. Ya know, the one who hadn't learned how to coast through the regular season yet.

In all seriousness, I expect Tim's numbers to pretty much go up across the board. He's going to have to hit the ground running this year instead of pacing himself for the playoffs. I don't think his minutes will go up that much, but I expect to see a more focused and determined T.D. much earlier on in the year.

It's more than just fresh legs. This isn't the first preseason I've seen Timmy go through. The difference between him and Finley is that if he did offseason training, he wouldn't tell the newspapers about it.

Yeah, it's fresh legs and focus/determination. Timmy was in phenomal shape last year too, but he also had a healthy Manu. He knows he has to cure the Horry-itis if he wants this team to be in a position to make a run when Manu returns.

So if Finley is asked why hes thinner and what he did, hes just supposed to say "No comment"

    Interesting.

I suppose we'll have to wait until someone decides to ask him about it. I know you are always the first to leap to Finley's defense under any cir stance whatsoever, but the comment was more about Timmy's reluctance to share information than a shot at Fin.

He looked like this at the begining of last season as well. I honestly don't see him in any better shape or condition that he's been in the begining the last few seasons. Let's see if it continues throughout the season or if he waits until April to fully "turn it on"

I wrote this in another thread, but Tim does look really good. The guy didn't even give like 100% last night and he still scored 20 I believe. He looks fresh and focused. He looks more comfortable with Thomas. BTW, Thomas started the game. For some reason I thought Fab was gonna start. Anyways, back to Tim, he looked really good. He led the fast break like four times last night and did a great job. Too bad the Spurs aren't use to running and don't have anyone that can really finish at the rim. I think only one of those fast breaks led by Duncan had a successful finish.

Timmy had a number of good passes that resulted in clanged shots. He could have actually had some assists to go with that line.

The fact that Duncan exited the playoffs earlier than usual and didn't play international ball should help him get off to a good start.

Who'd have thought you of all people would have pictures of him?
