I'm not black and I'm not trying to be sappy and this has nothing to do with being democrat or liberal or republican or conservative or an independent. It has everything to do with being an American and just looking 45 years into the past.

Just 45 years ago that was going on. And now we are on the verge of electing the first black President of the United States of America. I am one who can say I will proudly shed tears when he wins.
I am sure it will be a huge emotional thing for those who were treated with racism (not just the black people) and those who were ashamed to see their culture being racist on so many levels.
No idea. Doubt it but it would definitely be a moment to remember.
Although I'm pretty damn sure a lot of posters in here would cry even more if he lost.
I'll crack open a few beers for sure.....no matter the outcome.
I'll crack open the beers if Obama wins. I'll crack open the whiskey if the mavericks win.
Why?
Peole aren't voting FOR him because of any racial issues. They aren't voting FOR him just because he's half black. They are voting FOR him because they think he will be a good commander-in-chief and they agree with him on issues that affect the interests of the American people.
Am I right or wrong?
Quit race baiting.
You continue to just confirm how big of a ing moron, idiot and dumbass you are.
I already voted for him, so who's the dumbass?
The images you posted were not things I envisioned while casting my vote.
I did get a little emotional though. Not because I was "making history", but because I had to choose between two ty candidates.
America will do itself proud, and the America-obsessed world agrees, to elect HUSSEIN and stop the Repugs/conservatives/neo-c*nts from doing more murderous damage to America and to the world.
What will HUSSEIN be able to accomplish? Thanks to the pile of built up by the Repugs, he'll probably have to spend all his energy just getting back to zero, never mind anything really positive.
sons only a FOOL would cast a vote for that white TRASH called Barack Hussein Obama!
If I shed a tear it will be because the Republicans are out of the White House, not any racial reason.

I voted for HUSSEIN, but I still think you are a .
I will proud of our nation, because it will show that our people are really more unitied than we could have previoulsy imagined.
It's been emotional already. Seeing 150,000 supporters in Missouri was emotional for me.
I still have doubts that he will actually win and I won't believe it till i see it but to answer your question hypothetically, I would be very emotional if Obama wins. All Americans should be proud but as a black man, It would mean just a little bit more. The advancement and recognition of my people in America would go beyond emotional. I would also get emotional that my mother, who was a big supporter of Obama, would not be here to see this day.
I am going to quit my job and hope the wealth gets spread around this way...
son I agree. that sounds like a great plan. why work when other peoples tax dollars can take care of you?
If I don't get my piece of the pie in the first 100 days... I am going to be pretty pissed...
The posters on this thread can't even avoid being emo just talking about the thread's question... so my guess is that, yes, many people will get emotional.
I'll get those checks out to you worthless little maggots, er uh, supporters, as soon as I can. But, you may get laid off after I raid your boss's wallet.
nah
I don't think "wow a black president"
I think "wow, a far-left president with a super majority".
hey, suckers, redistribution of wealth, like socialism, is a right-wing red herring.
"I wanna tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that there's not enough troops in the army to force the Southern people to break down segregation and admit the nigra race into our theaters, into our swimming pools, into our homes, and into our churches."
~Strom Thurmond, 1948 (while running for President of the United States)
Considering how far we've come, a little emotion might be appropriate...
