Can Shasta and BRHornets get a room?

If those numbers hold, it's a 6 point loss for the Republicans compared to 2004.
Driving through Weatherford yesterday I saw a billboard with a huge Eagle in front of an American flag that said "There is only one God fearing patriot running for President of the United States." I couldn't wait to get to the booth... it was almost enough to make me vote straight ticket Democrat, but I didn't.
Anyway, it felt great.
I didn't vote straight-party Dem because I wanted to maximize my anti-GOP vote. In some races, the Libertarians fielded a candidate but the Democrats didn't. If there was a Libertarian in the race but not a Democrat, I voted for the Libertarian.
Weatherford truly is ass.
It's called political capital BRHornet45. My vote helps to give Obama the mandate that he needs to push through the policies that he has proposed that I agree with. It feels great, and I am happy to have helped him do it!
I will be so happy to vote for Obama and the rest of the democratic ticket. My vote does count as much as yours, BR. The popular vote will indicate the mandate.
the popular vote does not reflect or indicate the mandate. the electoral does which is why you see Acorn passing out cigs and registering Dallas Cowboys in crucial states to cheat the vote and get the electoral. Obamam may well win --and worse than that he may have a super majority and then Biden's words will come true as those two attempt to take your guns and "adjust" the first amm. with the fairness doctrine - moving us ever so closer to Sweden on our way to become the U.S.A.R
Swedish women are hot
What's so terrible about Sweden? Their standard of living is high, and last time I checked, they didn't run the global economy into the ground through irresponsible deregulation.
The electoral college elects the president, the popular vote tells that president what kind of mandate he/she has. If someone is basing the mandate on an overwhelming win in the electoral college, then they are doing so only because the electoral college generally reflects the popular vote
Those Swedes really have it bad. What a terrible ing argument - "Don't be like Sweden!"
Irresponsible deregulation as a result of the 1974 CRA - further comnplicated by ACORN and legistlation from about 1992 on... Both parties screwed that up.
What does ACORN have to do with our standard of living and the state of the economy?
I'll stick by my assessment that the electoral college elects and the popular vote indicates the mandate. There's no need for illegal votes to dump the Republicans out of office; people are fed up with their crap. Registering voters that don't vote doesn't mean jack . It's how someone justifies getting paid for sitting on their duff and not doing what they were supposed to be doing. So Acorn hired so lazy jerks, do you think that's why McCain is getting his ass handed to him?
My guns will be just fine. I am not sure what you meant by the "fairness doctrine", does that have something to do with the fact that Warren Buffett's secretary pays more in taxes than he does?
Nothing if we were to stay there. I prefer the way the USA was founded personally - back to the cons ution- but things as they are -- if we stayed like Sweden -- it would be alright ( although they did suffer a similar economic collapse in the 1990s) but since we will be here like Sweden a short period of time - and then on to be like France and eventually a total decline under the leadership of the communist-like Obama..
ACORN has plenty to do with the state of the economy - specifically real estate. in the 1990's they were all over the financial ins utions crying discrimination or racism anytime a lona was denied because the person could not afford it. -- this led to 125% mortgages - 60% plus debt-to-income ratios... Int. Only loans.. etc. .
Only 25% of the subprime mortgages are ACORN-related. Thank you for participating, please try again.
You think your guns will be just fine... The supreme court barely kept those guns in your hand a few months ago with a 5-4 vote and since 5 justices are 70 and another one is 69 -- rest assured that Obama will have the opportunity to name several justices to the court... It is likely that Stevens, Scalia, Kennedy, Ruth Bader and maybe Breyer could be off the court in an Obama term. Granted only Scalia and Kennedy have any bearing but those will be two crucial conservative votes lost.
This has been a democratic run congress for 2+ years and they have not done anything at all - with single digit approval ratings. Lord help us all if they get a super majority.
Try credit default swap market instead.
The change they brought about created the subprime market Einstein - thank you come again. You want to quote some statistic about ACORN sponsored mortgages ? I am referring to what they created to make the CRA of 1974 ten times worse.
no sir -- that is not credit default SWAP market.
The derivatives market had little to do with housing fairness and a lot to do with making money. The Acorn dodge is really weak.
You must be a little slow. Here, I'll repeat it again:
3 out of 4 subprime mortgages are not related to ACORN in any way, shape or form.
Greedy banks is what made the CRA ten times worse. Not only they took on ty debt, they used that debt to back up more ty debt.
Now, you're the one blaming ACORN for all this. So YOU need to bring the evidence/statistics to support your point.
Yeah, Sweden is a real -hole.
Top Countries in Global Compe iveness
The European bloc remains strong, with six countries in the top 10. Switzerland, thanks to its high level of business sophistication and capacity for innovation, retained the second-place ranking it earned in the WEF's 2007 ranking (BusinessWeek.com, 11/6/07). The Nordic countries—Denmark at No. 3, Sweden at No. 4, and Finland at No. 6—continue to punch above their weight in this sphere as well. All share relatively healthy macroeconomic environments, run budget surpluses, carry very low levels of public indebtedness, and have some of the best functioning and most transparent ins utions in the world.
