I am a conservative and I havent voted yet. Seeing as Michigan is in the bag, Im thinking of voting thrid party or for Popeye, Im not entirely sure yet.
But I do know I wont vote for McCain. Thats a shame really. My loyalties are not determined by letters at the end of names, nor will my decision making process ever be determined by such trivial distinctions.
Although I am not entirely sure what you are referring to in the "violence against women" category, categorizing people as rational solely on the basis of their agreement with you is anything short the definition of rational.They are far more rational than the lefties are...

A critical mind doesnt latch on to all the ideas created by a group solely because their overall agenda best fits there own. A rational mind discerns the difference between group-think and individualism. While its true no party/religion will ever fall in line with all my personal beliefs, Im not above agreeing with one thing and disagreeing with another.
I cant accept one political party as my moral compass in the event that I have a deep disagreement with them on some issue of import to me. Nor can I use their letter designation as a sign of comfort in times of unknowing or uncertainty. I am an equal opportunity asshole, black, white, woman, Repub, Demo, or otherwise.
McCain would have gotten my vote wholesale with no Palin. I cant in good conscience vote to give one party all the power....see the first 6 years of Bush Jr for reference. So with that said, I am not an undecided voter. My vote was already determined by way of residence in Michigan. The only thing I truly affect is the popular vote and thats the euivalent of second place being the first loser.
I'm not for socialized medicine and their "fair" tax plan. Also, I think they are better at pointing fingers than getting anything done.
I consider myself fiscally conservative and socially moderate. Issues that I don't care about are: abortion, gay marriage, and global warming. I do think that we need to reprioritize our military efforts and better border control. I don't own any guns, but I don't want the govt. to keep people from owning guns.
