Well that would end the argument if the question was "Who was better in the finals, Kobe or Jordan?"
Seriously, if you want to make a case for anyone being the worst at anything, don't compare him to Michael Jordan.

While Kobe's supporting casts were overall better than Jordan's, it's totally unfair to cast off the Bulls role players as "bums" during the championship years. While Pippen was the only other real All Star caliber player to pair with Jordan the Bulls were always stocked with quality "dirty work" big men like Horace Grant and Dennis Rodman and clutch snipers like Paxson and Kerr.
Jordan had:
Pippen (50 greatest of all time)
Rodman (One of the greatest rebounders/defenders of all time)
R Harper (One of the best defenders/guards of that time)
S kerr (The greatest 3 point shooter in the history of the NBA-% wise)
T Kukoc (6th man of the year in 1996 and one of the best off the becnh in the league)
he had a great team...
Pippen and Grant were both soft -made chokers in their early years as well. Remember the "migrane"? Pippen was so full of BS for that one. Paxson and Kerr weren't great players at all. Good shooters, but nothing more. What about Will Perdue? Soft. BJ Armstong? Out of control. Stacy King? Soft and dumb. Jordan's first le team was full of soft, dumb players that he eventually transformed into a 3-peat team. He didn't get Rodman or Harper until his second three-peat.
In terms of what the media likes to build him up to be, compared to what he has done without Shaq, you better believe it...

I think if you replaced Kobe with Lebron, the Lakers would have beat the Celtics. Kobe is a terrible leader. He might have a more developed game, but whats the use of a developed game if all you do is shoot fade-aways on a team that already relies completely on the jumpshot? This thread is ridiculous. No one, not even Laker fans, are going to argue that Kobe compares to MJ in the playoffs. NO one does. 6 rings in a modern era of sports is unheard of.
However, to say Kobe is the worst playoff performer ever is... well, it's stupid. I'm surprised Laker fans have taken the bait so fully. Kobe doesn't elevate his game in the playoffs as much as he might, but he's still a very good playoff performer. For a chucker.
