Hack a Shaq worked well. The goal wasn't to come back at score but to reach the half with bigs not in foul trouble. Don't forget that Spurs have only 3 bigs for this game.

If Oberto was healthy, I doubt Spurs would have done hack a Shaq at that moment.

Porter got T'ed up because he complained about a non-call with Nash and Parker. It had absolutely nothing to do with Hack-a-Shaq.

Shaq isn't throwing elbows, it was an accidental trip after the fall, after which Udoka flopped a little.

Your argument is a colossal failure.

Shaq has been throwing elbows since Cole High School.

On that play, Shaq did use his forearm on Udoka but Ime fell down because he tripped, not because of the forearm shiver.

League gonna ban that fouling on purpose or make it like the 4th quarter where you can't foul the man without the ball when 2 mins left in any quarter. No one wants to see people walk to the free throw line. Play the game losers.
Didn't you hear them talking about it on the TV? It was discussed amongst the powers that be, but nobody cared enough to start a movement to change it.

I don't think Hack-a-Shaq should be against the rules or anything. It's an effective technique that should be saved for the end of the game. As a fan, there's nothing more boring than watching Shaq shoot FT's for 5 straight minutes, especially during the 1st ing half.

AJ on commentary is in hilarious. "STIDE-E-Myer...."

plus suggesting Steve Nash will be need to play more defense.

If Porter thinks Nash will play more D, he must be CRAZY (to quote egghead stephen A smith)

Let's see... Porter got a T in there and Shaq is throwing 'bows and destined to get T'ed up.

Yeah, it's been a colossal failure.
porter got the T from a non-call charge, not from the hack a shaq.

The Hack-a-Shaq is ineffective if Shaq is hitting them at least 50% or better, and if the Suns are getting more stops at the other end... which they will this year.
Keep in mind that Manu is not playing.

We'll how your " defense " plays out when Manu is on the floor

    Exactly.

They are not going to change the rule and reward bad FT shooters. The best way to prevent it is to make your FT's and as I said earlier, to Shaq's credit he is doing that so far.

The Suns need to play better defense so that the spurs might stop fouling shaq to give up points.

Actually, it's the other way around. Spurs fans are the only people who enjoy watching Hack-a-Shaq, because you're the only people benefiting from it. Everyone else suffers.
