Undecided?

The differences between the candidates are so clear...I find it hard to believe there's really anyone out there who's still undecided. Several comedians have done pretty good riffs on this idea, suggesting that anyone who is still really "undecided" is stupid, or perhaps an attention- .

But as a serious question: Does anyone on here know anyone who is still really and truly undecided? I don't think anyone on this site is undecided themselves - everyone has pretty strong opinions. But what about people you know?

I've only voted for McCain once so far. I'm undecided if I should give him the rest of my votes or maybe I should give a couple votes to Obama just to be somewhat fair.

I voted yesterday and only because I live in a dead red state, I was truly and honestly undecided before walking into the booth. I was debating between Obama, Barr, McKinney and the Socialist Workers Party candidate. I would have gone with the SWP, but I was afraid my name would end up on the list of some super secret Bush-Era domestic spy agency. Plus Obama's running better here than any Dem in recent decades and I wanted to support that, so I went with him.

If I lived anywhere but the reddest of states, obviously, I wouldn't have been undecided. The creepos who are truly undecided between McCain and Obama are just moronic.

Because we're already socializing capitalism to keep it afloat. Plus, I thoroughly believe in democratic socialism and the idea that every worker should have an ownership stake in the profits generated from their labor.

Plus their candidate this year, Roger Calero, was busted back in the 80's for trying to smuggle large quan ies of marijuana in to the US. The SWP came to his defense and along with several civil rights groups enough of a fuss was made to get him out of prison under the rational that he was a political prisoner. I was deeply enchanted by this tale of leftist anti-authoritarianism.

I'm not undecided, but I can easily understand how people could be. There is a lot of McCain's history to base judgement on and not nearly as much for Obama. For someone that doesn't like McCain's history, but balks at Obama's lack of history in leadership roles, this would be a very hard call. In the end it will come down to making an educated guess and a leap of faith - something many voters are not happy committing to.

I have personal misgivings about Obama's lack of history. I actually understand being undecided in this election more than any other in my lifetime.

I see your argument. But how many months have people been listening to these guys argue it out? Everything about them has already been out there for months. There was this guy on a radio station here talking about he and his wife were both undecided, but he was steadily bashing Obama. I'm thinking to myself, either don't vote, or vote for McCain. This isn't that hard. I mean it's not like we live in a toss-up state or anything. I think they are just attention s to this point to be perfectly honest with you. It's like they want people to talk to them and kiss their butt to vote for their candidate I guess....
