First, he was driving under the influence. Now, was he intoxicated? I'm not sure. However, he asked to be taken in.
If Rafer was smart, he could have easily avioded this situation by simply not being belligerent. That's usually the first give away that an individual may have had a little too much too drink.
How did the cop screw him? IMO, everything is on Rafer.

Are you that dense? Rafer got screwed by himself and that's it. He was being uncooperative and had an at ude. He's lucky he was found not guilty.
Come on, that cop had a macho-complex. Rafer was tired and annoyed b/c he did not know the EXACT time of his first drink.

He would not do any FST. He was pulled over because the dumb was driving at night with his lights off, and then the cop suspects him of DWI and ask him to do some FST and he refused and told the cop to take him to jail. Now, where exactly was the cop being "stupid".

Whether an officer has a macho-complex, or you are tired and annoyed, the fact remains that he is a police officer. If you have any common sense, you wouldn't act the way Rafer did when talking to an officer. You swallow your pride and treat the law with respect, regardless of his macho-complex or not.
He admitted to a police officer that he had 3-4 drinks which translates to 6+. Only someone drunk and/or re ed would have admitted to that in the first place and then have the audacity to talk back.
Cops don't give a flying if you're honest. By getting Rafer to admit his guilt, on camera no less, means he absolutely screwed no matter what with no chance of the case getting dropped. If he wanted to prove he wasn't 'drunk', should have kept his mouth shut, pass the sobriety test and pray the Mr. Police officer isn't carrying a breathalyzer.
