If you had missed Kobe for as long as we had missed Yao, then you would not have had the number one seed. You would probably be playing Utah or Phoenix or someone.

my response was to sook saying the lakers lost to a team with tmac and scrubs last year. that same team went on a hot streak and flamed out in the playoffs again all WITHOUT yao. (won alot without him and lost in the playoffs without him)
so if tmac and a bunch of scrubs were so good they shoulda made it past the 1st round. which proves my original post 3 pages ago where i said any one can beat any one on any given night so u cant take that one game that the rockets won against the lakers into a big context.

props to the Rockets. They played a really good game despite being on the second of a back-to-back. I know the Mavs can't do it, so in the playoffs I honestly will be pulling hard for the Rockets to beat the got Lakers.

I don't care if it's one game, it's still the same ol' Mavs. NOTHING has changed, except now they're finding new ways to kick their fans in the stomach.
Avery was perfectly capable of coaching a team that had 3 and a half quarters of "We are bad ass" and then 6 final minutes of " it, let's go bowling instead".
