posey is sick.
Obviously they could since their winning LOL.
i think this hornets can play like the suns of the past 3-4 years. run and gun spread with multiple shooters.
Damn, so much for that one.
Looks like they can hang with the Suns just fine ... even without Chandler
Those turnovers by Nash at the end there were killer.
Suns lost this one on turnovers and horrible perimeter defense in the 4th quarter.
What is it with the Suns and allowing opponents' 3-point threats to bomb away whenever the they want? Get in their ing faces and prevent the 3. No excuse for allowing Posey, Butler, and Peja to shoot whatever the they want behind the arc. That's just bad, bad defense.
LOL @ mocking my Suns fandom by bringing up the fact that we beat you two years in a row.
Suns - 24 TO's
Hornets - 10 TO's
There's the ball game. Porter's gotta clean up the offense.
24 TOs by Suns
13/24 3pt by NO
Story of the game.
I was feelin a 4th quarter comeback, but Posey and Butler killed it.
Valiant effort, but the Suns still can't play defense.
Suns kept the Hornets out of the paint the whole game, so it wasn't a layup drill like the Suns usually allow. Just have to close out on those 3-point shooters. Shouldn't be a difficult adjustment.
When a team has to pack the paint in order to defend a team missing their starting center to the point where they get bombed relentlessly with wide open jump shots I'm not sure where the adjustment lies, but I'm sure it isn't simple. The Suns basically had to double constantly because most of the guys on the floor at any given time aren't good individual defenders. You'd think that Amare could either keep David West in front of him or contest his shots without someone having to help him.
Horrible defense, turnovers, and NO just has their number. Paul's passing out of double and triple teams was tremendous and Peja/West were shooting uncontested shots all night.
Suns had less TO's in D'Antoni's uptempo offense
That's not their problem... Isnt' Bowen 37? Jazz did great with an old stockton for years.
It's early yet, but Bowen hasn't looked stellar so far. Perhaps not the best example.
I thought he did good face guarding nash last year and spotting for the occasional 3. Haven't seen enough of him this year to tell myself.
I only watched the 2nd half, but David West had wide open jumpers all night long. When Amare actually bodied him up and forced West to get physical, nothing came easy for him. Amare can guard West, so if West was getting doubled, that's Porter's fault.
It's not like the Hornets' offensive plays were brilliant. In the 4th quarter, Butler popped a 3 in the face of his defender twice in a row. Posey did the same thing. It's a very simple solution--don't give them space to shoot.
Hmm anyone know what the Hornets have done in the off season? Just realized Wells is gone now. Hmm they seem really small in the front court
LMAO at you son!
