Blaming guns is too easy a cop-out for our crime problems in America. I think it has more to do with our national motto of ' you, I'm doing what the I want'.

As open minded as I am I'm not an advocate for guns despite our cons utional rights.
I would however be open to stricter guidelines for gun ownership. There should be way more required including courses on gun safety and storage before being able to make a purchase.
You know I wouldn't feel like we have to eliminate guns if this country would tighten up on how to obtain and own a gun. I think its more of an issue of en lement than being a responsible carrier. It needs to change.
Do you know how many illegal firearms are out there? If you think muggers and thiefs are gonna take a gun safety course, then I have a bridge I'll sell you for cheap!
