I made a few hundred dollars when we went a couple of weeks ago. The beers are only $2 ... so it's nice living only a 1/4 mile away.

Yeah, and I don't even know why they bother calling it $.50 night anymore, either, but I still love to go.

I remember going and getting my dollar beers and hotdogs. I have made about 30 bucks but I bet cheap too.

I usually bet $2 trifecta boxes ($12) ... and I was on FIRE that night. And I won a lot early, so I started getting REALLY brave ... and it didn't hurt that one of my horses that started out at 4:1 when I bet on him, ended up 15:1 after all of the bets were in. That race alone won me $210 on a $12 bet. I walked out of there with about $350 more than I walked in there with ... including beer, betting & food.

I won't be that lucky again for a long, long time. Usually feel lucky to not have to pawn something or clean out stalls or whatever for them to let me out of the parking lot.
