The Republicans will gain power again once they man up and USE CLASSWARFARE back against the dems. Imagine a movement where the wealth builders actually built up true hatred for those who just want to take their money, on their schools, on the quality of healthcare, etc.
By then, the have-nots will undoubtedly outnumber the haves but I would love to see this happen.
Actually, the Repugs need to blow up the party a bit, get rid of all the racist and neocons and come back with a less fear-mongering and hateful, more optimistic message. I think that if there's anything this campaign proved is that you can't keep on banking on FUD to carry you through.
That said, I expect the Republican party to learn from this and get in shape soon.

If you do not take care of lower class ...more jobs rasing min wage ...then those same people you dont want to help will rob, steal and deal drugs in your better schools and communities ...Im middle class and i dont need the support but there are many who do and if i do go over 250k next year i will gladly pay higher taxes ...to help others that is what I fell as A Christian not a Socialist
Last time I checked, Obama and Bill both made their fortunes under Bush's term. And we know Obama did not give back to charity after benefiting greatly from those Bush tax cuts.
You are confusing giving to the less fortunate yourself, and being forced to give up earned money to be redistributed as the government sees fit.
You take pride in knowing your charitable givings are lining the pockets of wealthy bureaucrats while in return decreasing the quality of you and your childrens' lives?
You just said in another thread that the real wealthy know how to shield their money from the government. So basically, unless forced to do so, they won't give anything at all.

Yeah, because income disparity has historically never lead to, you know, violent overthrowings of those with all the cash.
Really, I can't see many millionaires getting superbly pissed off because they'll be paying $75K in taxes this year instead of $60K...
