Hey, he didn't say which team was gonna get the easy W.
Pretty good day, overall. The Spurs will get better. We'll see y'all again next month!![]()
Dallas, a team still learning a brand new offensive system, in its 4th game with a brand new coach, and with a rotation in complete flux, isn't going to get much better?
Ok. That sounds like pretty reasonable analysis to me.![]()

Is it wierd that I'm still not worried? I love what I am seeing from Hill and Mason. They just need to stay consistent. Tim and Tony need to be Tim and Tony and when a healthy Manu comes back....
I gotta agree with you. Seemed like a pretty silly thing to say. So far the Spurs have lost to 3 teams that really are in flux (Suns, Blazers, Mavs) with new systems, new coaches, and lots of new players, and the Spurs have lost all of them. What's "in flux" about the Spurs exactly I wonder? Seems like it's mostly the Usual Suspects over in San Antonio to me. And maybe that's really the problem: Spurs stayed pretty much the same while the rest of the West upgraded.
The Spurs just missed their shots tonight. Sometimes they don't go down. No big deal.
Absolutely. The Spurs were just missing the shots that they took, and when you miss the shots that you take you usually lose the games that you play. Additionally, the team that wins the games it plays when it plays those games is usually the one who makes the shots it tries to make during those games.
Spurs fans shouldn't be worried. I don't think the Spurs can get a high seed in the West, and it'll be difficult to win 3 straight road series in the playoffs JUST to get to the Finals... but they'll be a tough out for anyone (I doubt the Spurs miss the playoffs).
As for the Mavs, good night.. Dirk was awesome, Jet was awesome... but let's not get too excited beating a team missing it's second best player... plus we were hot with our jump shots while they were cold... and the night before we looked terrible against Cleveland, just terrible... so who knows.
One annoying thing about this game was just 5 FTA for the Mavs. You NEED more than that period even against a low fouling team like the Spurs. Heck, Dirk himself should be getting to the line 7-8 times per game.
the low FTA's basically confirms that it was just a hot jump shooting night... but the ball movement to create wide open looks was nice.
It's a big deal when you can't play defense. A stop on the defensive end is as good as a made basket.
Where the was tolliver, was he in street clothes?
If scrubs like Hill and Mason are your only prayers, then yeah you should be worried.
Great then I am not worried, becuase they are not my only "prayers" I just meant that I think they could do something significant this year. Mason is a good shooter. And Hill was alright. They haven't proved they can play well in the clutch, but I can't wait to see them in a meaningful tight game. Oh and as long as Tim tony and manu are playing together on the same team I still won't be worried.
For a Dallas team 3 years past its prime, this game is probably the high point of the season for them.
Oh my God. I just realized who Sequ sounds like...
