its a fair question. what if 96 percent of white people voted for mccain. i think that would be a topic. now i'm wondering why so many blacks are democrats.

In what day and age? The day and age in which we have just elected the first black President in our nation's history? A day and age where many of the people who witnessed the struggle to desegregate and the assassination of MLK are still alive today?
I know we white folk would love to think 40 years is enough time to heal the wounds of this country's racist past, but you might just have to wait a while longer, and I hope it's not too hard on you.
Funny to see people laying claim to Obama's race or stating definitively that he is one race or the other. He had a white mother that he was very close to, a black father who wasn't around, was born in Hawaii, has a Kenyan bloodline, spent time in Indonesia, went to predominately white schools, married a black woman, and has two 1/4 white children. His racial make up is complex, and any attempt to say that it isn't is just laziness.
This is what 96% tells me--black people need to start voting independently. There are tons of black people with conservative inclinations who instinctively vote Democrat. It was the same thing in the South from Reconstruction until Nixon. They just voted for the Democrat, no matter what.
Had the Democratic nominee been white, I bet 90% or so of blacks would have voted Democratic. So racism doesn't account for very much. I just think it's bad for our country that a racial group votes for only one party. Democrats can basically take black people for granted.

I think today has been hilarious. I voted for the Maverick and wanted him to win. He didn't, oh well, nothing can be done about that now. I think excuses should stop and we should all start hoping that Obama just starts to now do what is best and what is right for the country.
This radical change, the world is coming to an end, this is the worst decision ever, is all far overblown.................but hilarious.
