Finley is told to shoot at will, problem is, he has no confidence right now.
tonight:
Parker 55
Amare 49
Lebron 41
wow
Finley is told to shoot at will, problem is, he has no confidence right now.
And Finley 0-115
you would think a vet like Fin would know the clock and situation of the game but he did have the best +/- of spurs 12

Parker was a joy to watch tonight. It's nice to see the doubters put to rest.
i'm sure this is what you meant to say.![]()
I bet you his next game will be crappy
It's amazing he has to keep proving doubters wrong even after three championships, a Finals MVP, two All-Star appearances and countless other huge games in his career.
man what a game
Duncan was great , but Parker was amazing. He deserves the props.
And the trade him thread will be running strong again. Tonight's game will be called a fluke. It's just the normal ebb and flow of ST.![]()
parker first in the league averaging 33.3 pts per game
duncan averaging 27pts per game
Some people are never happy. It's a 'what have you done for me lately' mentality. It's easy to toss around blame when the team is playing lousy and Parker has the bigger role and responsibility to take a bigger hit than Bowen and Finley. (Though there has been enough blame around here to share).
now I declare Tony Parker as my favorite PG of all time.

Finally some fighting spirit from the Spurs.
They needed that one !
Awesome Tony Parker !
And Mason and Duncan !

I'm not thrilled about the interior D.![]()

It's the same mentality (truly) that has people believing that propping Parker is dissing Ginobili.
Parker is actually just entering his prime as a basketball player -- a scary thought.
Most Points Scored in a Game for the Spurs
David Robinson - 71
George Gervin - 63
Tony Parker - 55
George Gervin - 55
He could have gone for 60. Not impressed.
Per ESPN...
There When He's Needed
With 55 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, Tony Parker became the sixth player -- and just the second point guard -- in NBA history to record a 50-10-5 game since the 1967-68 season.
Tony Parker, SA 2008-09
LeBron James, CLE 2007-08
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, MIL 1974-75
Rick Barry, GS 1973-74
Nate Archibald, KCO 1972-73
Wilt Chamberlain, PHI 1967-68
Should've been a triple double.
I am so proud of Tony.
This game really proved just how much of a burden TP and TD are carrying right now.
Tim Duncan 53
I just wanted to sneak it in.![]()
Also according to ESPN,
One of only three players to ever get a 55 and 10 game... the other two being
Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson
