    Isn't that a bigger number than Tony's 55?

I mean we all knew he was good, did anyone in their wildest dreams imagine RMJR would score 26 points in his fourth game?

No, but I knew he would help out here alot, just didn't know how much... I thought maybe 14 or so his fourth game and a pace like that all year, but 26 was huge for him and this Spurs team.

Tony is a beast though, DAMN.

nope - Tony probably won't break 40 again this year, but Mason should have quite a few 20+ games this year. The Spurs don't have a lot of offense right now, so Tony and Tim need to put big numbers to keep them in the game - that will change in soon as we get some of our players healthy.

I knew Mason could do it, the way he's been shooting. Pop just needs to let the leash go on Ime, Farmer, and Hill. Bonner, Finley, and JV can't do anymore.

It actually wasn't that surprising to me. RMJ has made things look so easy from the time he first stepped on the court for the Spurs. It's like he's been here for ten years.

I realize he's due for a bad shooting game and a slump but gotta love his stats so far.

    33.3 minutes per game
    15.8 points per game
    3.0 rebounds per game
    2.8 assists per game
    1.0 turnovers per game
    .605 field goal percentage
    .643 three-point percentage
    1.000 free throw percentage

Oh and he's also tied for the team lead in blocks per game

RMJ has such a beautiful shooting mechanic that everytime he releases it i just expect it to go in. I know its too early to say but DANG if he continues to shoot this way he could be considered the best straight on shooter in the league.

that, we should've expected this, when Mason get's minutes, he scores in the high teens. Wan't he averaging 17 as a starter?

Mason was clearly a fantastic pickup. Major props to whoever scouted him. Now if we can just pull off a good mid-season trade FOR ONCE!

Mason came through big tonight. He did more than I expected and is looking to be solid during this stretch without manu. He showed he could create and dish it out (twice).

What's said is he was two bogus calls away from getting 30 too. Both times ssomeone fouled a split-second before he let go, he swished it like a pimp.

    Mason continues to impress me.

i love how he's playing better than Maggette, a player mostly everyone wanted over Mason.

I said in that trade Tony Parker thread that Parker may not have even hit Tony Parker's best level yet. That was in response to someone saying he's not going to get any better. Tony is just entering his prime. He really may get even better than he is now. You can't say Tony isn't done improving.

Mason is playing great ball for us so far. Love the way he's playing.

The interesting thing will be to see how Mason does once Ginobili comes back. It's going to take away some of his shot attempts and I'd be curious to see how well he fares if Pop decides to go with a lineup of all 4.

Parker did something only Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan have done in NBA history. Mason will score 26 again in the next couple of weeks.

Parker's game was incredible. I don't suspect we'll see to many more 50+ nights from Tony. But as others have said, I too am hoping we'll see lots of 20+ nights from Mason.

So far he's proven to be the Spurs best addition in quite a while.
