Timvp, am I wrong in saying the Spurs were actually only up a single point when Finley hoisted that shot?
I'm really concerned about Bowen, he is, with Duncan, the pilar of the spurs defense, without him the defense seems totally unbalanced. I hope that he will be back strongly soon.

I think you're right.
Good recap as always. I'm pretty sure Pop is keeping Mason with the second unit on purpose right now because of the need for scoring with that unit. But regardless, there is no reason for Finley to have minutes like that when he is playing so badly. I fully expect Finley to be spending a LOT more time on the pine when Manu gets back. It's pretty unbelievable how good Mason really is. For all of our faults within the FO, they still seem to have the "diamond in the rough" eye. The Big 3 is quickly moving towards the Big 4.
it's unfair for Bowen for y'all to start saying a new "big 4".. he has always been as important as the big three for the last 3 championship runs... if he gets his level back then it's a 5 headed monster...
You know, I think you're right on. When Manu comes back we very well could see Mason replace Finley as a starter. But bringing him off the bench replaces a little bit of that little punch that we're missing with Manu.
Frankly I'd like to see Udoka starting until Gino is back. Hes played better than Finley and it still lets a scorer come off the pine in Mason.
It's not the starting lineup, it's the matchups. I'm all for putting Finley on an "earn your minutes" plan, but putting Bowen on Wade and Udoka on Beasley would be suicide.
Pop may lose confidence in Bonner
thanks for the recap!
Matt played five minutes last night. I'm pretty sure that's already happened. If the dude isn't going to hit open shots then he's pretty much useless.
