That's cause the Lakers are on a league of their own right now.
portland beats the spurs and rockets by a few points and gets blown out by the lakers. WTF is going on?!
That's cause the Lakers are on a league of their own right now.
Well, that game was in LA and it was our home opener so the team was pretty pumped. Blazers are tough to beat in Portland. Lakers have struggled there the last few years as well.
Those last 2 shots by Roy were super clutch. Great game.
0.4* happened because the shotclock didn't start ticking right when derek fisher touched the ball. Some idiot working has some really slow reflexes...
And Duncan's shot was down at .7
The shot clock didn't start on time. I'm even doubtful that he got that off if the clock started right when he caught it.
exactly, the ref kept playing it over and over again just to look at the red box light up to see if the shot left his hand. Clearly it did, but I highly doubt the clock started when he got possession of the ball...
A young team always plays much better at home. Always
and the blazers in general are a very tough team in the garden while average on the road
Yeah, that's wrong. Fisher got it off in time. As mentioned, there should have been more time on the clock anyway. If you're going to complain about it, then say that the Spurs should have had .4 for their own last shot.
IMO, the clock started just a tad too late. not much, but enough for fisher to have gotten the shot off in time. i watched it a number of times, and it clearly did not start when it should have. but i can't fault them, because things happen so fast... whoever did the clock did the very best job they could do...
I watched it about a hundred times the night it happened, and I admit that I looked and looked for a reason to complain about it or to put an asterisk on the win. My PVR does slow motion in 1/10 second increments, which made it very easy to figure out. Fisher had the ball in his hands for less than .4 and Duncan's shot over Shaq went through the hoop with .8 anyway. That was a good win. And my earlier statement that the Spurs should have had time was incorrect, now that I think about it.
In that Laker game we didn't have our starting small forward and our center played about 15 minutes with a sprained foot. Add in that Nate changed the lineup right before the game and we shot poorly and it was a recipe for disaster. That won't happen again.
portland sucks on the road this year
