Pop doesn't want Curry. This speculation is BS.

Kori has a pretty funny story about Curry and the Spurs. Perhaps she will share . . .
    Can't. Sorry.

Uh, no. Eddy Curry is the last thing the Spurs need. Defensively, he makes Matt Bonner look like David Robinson. And the Spurs aren't "desperate for scoring", they are actually desperate for defense. Curry is LITERALLY the worst defensive bigman in the NBA. On top of that, he's probably also the worst rebounding bigman in the NBA.

I wouldn't want Curry on this team on a minimum contract. He'd be a horrible fit.
100% agreed. Eddie isnt worth a crud. It would be like adding another Fab,Kurt and Matt all in one body. One big giant worthless player.

Agreed. Curry is a waste of a player on this squad. We could use a post player, but Curry is not him.

There is no way in the world Pop would trade for Jackie Butler X2. Curry doesn't want to play defense or put forth 100% effort... that's the recipe to never be a Spur. At least as long as Pop is around...

    curry is the anti spur
    -no defense
    -no rebounding
    -no work ethic
    -out of shape

but to play devils advocate, our defensive is currently the worst in the league and i think its because duncan is doing too much offensively. if he had the chance save some energy for defense that would be ideal.

curry averages like 7 rebounds for a 7 footer but thats the same as our current big men. he averages like .4 blks but i cant remember the last time oberto or bonner blked a shot.

not that im pulling for this trade, but i do see the pros and cons and i would be willing to risk it. we'll see what happens..
i'm not aversed to that, having duncan focused more on offense and relaxed on defense and just swoop in to grab the rebound/swap some shots. unfortunately, the spurs current bigs is not allowing it. he's having to do too much.

That played out clip was so contrived it's hilarious...Olberman had a hilarious take on it. Something like: "Okay Marv, you set an extremely weak pick here-Dan, make sure to not even try to get thru it-William, make sure and stand where you are...DON'T MOVE, but try to swipe the ball or something-and Jackson, make sure you're completely lost on the play as I lay up the ball-okay BREAK!!"

I can't believe some posters here are okay w/the idea of Curry coming to the Spurs. The dude is washed up. He's not motivated. That could be because he plays in NY, but still, you don't see David Lee unmotivated. Pop would not want Curry here. The Spurs are in need of a better big man, but the Spurs aren't that dumb and in need that they'd trade for Curry. At least I hope not.

A man with no arms is a better rebounder and defender than Curry....guy is a fat/unmotivated piece of crap that doesnt have the heart to play basketball. Right now Nate Robinson is avg 4.3 reb game and Curry avg 4.7 for the years last season. Dude is over 1 foot taller than Nate and still cant rebound.

As a mavs fan I say trade for Curry, he will be a great asset to the team, just make sure to have extra food in the locker room so there is some left for the rest of the guys on the team

Spurs need help. They do not need Curry. He'd be in Pop's doghouse before he even got his bags unpacked.

Timvp, I absolutely agree with you.

Eddy Curry would be a horrible fit for the Spurs. They are not desperate for scoring (98, 99, and 129 in the first three of four games). They need defense!!! ( I believe that will progress as the season goes along!)

I hope they don't bring him here!!!

Umm...he actually put up pretty good numbers after his rookie year in Chicago and the first couple of years in NY. Something like 14-16 pts per game and around 6-7 rebounds per game. That's better than any center we've had in a while. So he was pretty good at one time.

LOL @ Eddy Curry..I live in New York, and trust me, he's not meant to be here..he's weak minded, soft, doesn't play any defense or rebound, and his low-post game would force Tim to stay out on the perimeter, which I don't wanna see for an extended period of time..he's also one of the worst passers of all-time..

    no thanks..

Eddy Curry is everything that's wrong with basketball players.

    He fits on no team.

He would make a college team worse.

The curse of Isiah Thomas continues.....

Maybe they'll have to sit on Curry the same way they're doing with Starbury and Jerome "Big Snacks" James.
