Uh, no. Eddy Curry is the last thing the Spurs need. Defensively, he makes Matt Bonner look like David Robinson. And the Spurs aren't "desperate for scoring", they are actually desperate for defense. Curry is LITERALLY the worst defensive bigman in the NBA. On top of that, he's probably also the worst rebounding bigman in the NBA.

I wouldn't want Curry on this team on a minimum contract. He'd be a horrible fit.

Yeah he is a classic case of a guy with the lots of talent and no desire whatsoever. He's never in shape and doesn't give a rats ass. He is one of those guys that once he got paid, that was it for him, he went on auto-pilot...
