I do not follow politics at all, so what exactly does Barack Obama mean by all his slogans?

"change" - what change is happening?

"hope" - of what? for what?

"yes we can" - can do what?

These phrases i think took a lot of people's votes, but I have no idea what he means by them. Help?

"Change" somewhat scares me, because everyone is chanting and screaming it but no one knows what it is.

    Go to Obama's website.

    Read his proposals.

Decide for yourself if that seems different from what you have seen the last eight years.

Of course, the best time to start doing all your electoral and political research is five days after a national election.

hmm i like his deal on the affordable health care, but the tax situation is unjust. If I am successful, why should i be penalized for it?

I can't vote and do not plan on living in the U.S. after school, so it was not a big deal and now I'm interested to see what will happen.

Why should I have to pay more for being successful and working hard for my money. While the lazy fat asses with JUCO degrees get a check from the government every month.

Because for the past 8 years, you've been getting hooked up at unproportional rates. Currently, the US is running a trillion dollar budget deficit: Meaning basically that our national savings account is one trillion in the red. And thirdly, your position in society is afforded to you not only by your hard work and success, but by the fabric of America's infrastructure and working peoples, who have not had the same success as you, but contribute heavily, to the society that allows you to be successful. That's why.

All you need to know is that the end times are now upon us, so just repent and with any luck you'll just disappear like those folks in the Kirk Cameron movies.

The slogans were just rallying cries to get voters excited. They don't actually mean much of anything . . .

I fail to see your logic as to why wealth redistribution is fair...or more specifically why those making 250k plus or is it 150k ..? 100? ..whatever it ends up being ...have to pay more in taxes ? we both know the 95% comment was pure bs.....

Are you insinuating the GOP is going to end the graduated income tax? Because as far as I know they never tried or planned to do so.

I just want them to know how stupid their spread the wealth is. I mean is 37% taxes the point where we really begin to spread the wealth? Is 36% not really spreading the wealth? I mean are they completely against progressive income taxes and or ANY taxes for that matter?

I don't care what one or 2 isolated conservatives argue for. Its not part of the GOP's platform to pursue a non progressive income tax for the United States. I mean , thats so god damn socialist.

I'm curious to see if blacks get another mule and a few acres of land. On a more serious note, I do wonder what his 'pardon' thing is all about.

Yeah just too bad America bit on it. Oops, I mean the northeast.
