    How is the atmosphere there?

I ask this because I just received a phone call from a real good friend of mine ,who resides in Los Angeles and had bleed purple and gold literally since birth, and he told me he has 2 tickets to the xmas day game. He wont tell me anything in terms of what to expect. He is going to make me find out for myself but that is driving me crazy already.

I recently visited LA and I have been inside the staples center (Lakers store inside the stadium). I am going to the game. I dont care if the Celts lose by 50 and Laker fans are telling me to eat Kobes ass until I suffocate to death. I just want to say that I have experienced a Lakers game in Los Angeles. I have wanted to do that for quite some time now.

I just am curious as to what to expect there.

    Bostonguy, you'll have a blast.

Staples Center energy is among the lowest but probably the best when a game is close.

So if you're in a close game, you'll FEEL the crowd, probably the best crowd in the NBA in close games. It gets LOUD, especially when Ariza/Kobe/Farmar are on the floor.

If the Celtics are putting a beatdown on the Lakers, you might as well leave early and beat the traffic.

You can probably get away with wearing a Celtics jersey but I wouldn't advise it unless you like to take trash talking.

I will wear my Pierce jersey and I wont be bothered by the talking. After all I am a visiting fan. Them talking to me is all part of the game. Plus I will be more focused on every inch of that stadium experience. I love the court and I love how their gym is all set up.

I plan on staying regardless on who is beating down who. I want to enjoy every second of this rare experience.

I hate the got damn Celtics but you're a cool fan. Enjoy the game and stick with your Laker buddy.

I'm jealous because that's THE game of the regular season right there... Celtics vs Lakers is gonna kick ass.

I remember going to the Celtics/Spurs game last year and there were ALOT of Celtic fans there and let me tell you, there was a LOT of trash talking going on in the crowds.

I can only imagine the Lakers/Celtics matchups. Just sucks that LA Laker games are full of
rich fat cats and only people who can afford to pay for those insanely high ticket Laker prices.

ticket prices are ridiculous. average family would have to fork out 250 bucks for parking, 4 300 level seats, 4 burgers and 4 drinks.
