sure..bring him back. He'll go good next to Vaughn, Bonner, Bowen, and Finley.
Got to be better than Bonner until Tolliver is ready for prime time. Bonner is a 10th man off the bench and nothing else. If in shape Horry, at least, provides defense, rebounding and team defense until we get healthier. Can we really wait until Mahimni returns to make that decision? If the Knicks beat us on Tuesday, the FO needs to decide if we want make a run at the playoffs or just rebuild. Nothing will change for at least a month by which time we will be 5-19. That would mean needing to win 45 of 58 games to make 50 wins.
sure..bring him back. He'll go good next to Vaughn, Bonner, Bowen, and Finley.
Spurs could use more dead weight in their rotation.
An old veteran who doesn't try very hard and is a streaky shooter? Hey, that's just what the doctor ordered! Sign him up. Cut Tolliver to make some room for him.
Yeah lets raise the average age of the team to 50 years.
uh no thanks. spurs fans have been calling for some youth for along time now, and now you want to go back to the old guys again? I'm sure Mahinmi can provide some good defense, maybe not as many big shots but I'm greatful that we finally have some young guys
ok, I am going against the grain here but why not just work him out and see if he has any lateral quickness and jumping ability left in him.
Horry is never worth a in November, or any other month before about March.
Yeah, I was all for bringing Horry back this year and was surprised to see him let go. But he is still not the cure to what ails the Spurs.
Isn't there enough old age on this team already. Hence the uninspired performances. Let's move on.
no! I want to see Tolliver develop. He had a pretty decent debut.
Bring him back for depth close to the playoffs, if the Spurs make it. At a minimum, he throws fantastic inbounds and post entry passes and is a decoy 3pt shooter in big moments.
At the moment he would help about as much as I would.
Because it was apparent to anyone with eyes that he had lost both of those things by last season.
Horry might be our best chance to save the season. not because Spurs play him, but because he could be used in a van Horn move in a trade for a player who in fact helps.
Spurs would need to be willing to go over the lux tax threshold though. (and that's the bigger problem. I guess they would rather tank a season than paying tax).
sad to say but HOrry is actually worse than Bonner at this point
That may be a bit of a stretch.
Nobody is worse than Bonner.
Finley is making a big push. KT blows. Vaughn is only a few rungs up the ladder himself, too.
Finley is by far the worst player on the team right now.
You and Pop haven't been watching.
Facts: McDyess is unavailable for a month and will not sign with a non-contender. Thomas and Oberto are centers and don't do so well matched with other PF's. Bonner and Finley are dead weight right now. HOlt will not assume Curry's bloated salary. We have 26 games by 1/09. The Spurs could be 8-23 by then. Season over. OPINION: We need a PF who knows the systim and can contribute immediately. At least Horry can provide stability until December. We don't have a PF when Tim is sitting then Bowens is a luxury we can't afford without Tony and Manu. OPINION: Tonite's Knicks game will tell alot. If we get blown away???
Oh NO. That's just what we need, another immobile player who can't create his own shot, sits on the perimeter just to miss it.
Nice call.
Bowen Sucks! Trade him to Denver so they can waive him and he coud join Horry in a Houston retirement home.
