It seem Yahoo is confirm Kobe to Olympiacos rumor. This was not report earlier in Greece and US. Was somehow miss by press because was still consider unconfirmed rumor by US press from "small source". But is now report in Greece and probably will be In US also. "Rumor" was confirm by Eurosport which is like ESPN of all Europe and also by Yahoo in Italy.

Is funny no one in US think anything of this. But is Lakers owner already deny such thing in US press. Why he feel need to say this if offer is not true? And why did Angelopoulos give ESPN interview with video clip on ESPN site that they will try sign Kobe and then later Wade and Lebron?
At first I admit I not believe these reports is really that serious but is obvious they are. Angelopoulos brothers can buy Kobe easily if they wants him. You see owner of Lakers' interview? He says Lakers best offer is 5 years $135 millions. Remember in NBA Kobe must pay taxes and agent fees.
Is already mention in Greece if Kobe will take offer and stay 2 years in Greece he will NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY US TAXES on Olympiacos salary. Owners of club have already confirm this is true even though Americans keeps says no such thing is true they are wrong.
If $135 millions for 5 years and Kobe must pay agents fees and taxes to California and US is best Lakers can do then they better hope Kobe will stay with them for much less money than Olympiacos will offer.

going to greece to play in europe for the money will look on his resume, since greek league only has at least 2 good teams and the rest are bottom feeders makn up the numbers....no real compe ion beside euro tourneys, then again the talent on t hose teams is nowhere = any top16 nba team
If Kobe were to leave the NBA he could kiss any chance of him being remembered as anything other than a second fiddle who couldn't win on his own goodbye forever. Unless Bynum manages to make Kobe the second best player on the Lakers again, there's zero chance he even leaves for another NBA team.
Eh, who gives a about your legacy when your banking that much untaxed money? You could say he's already rich, but a deal like this would make him say, 4-5x more rich, and thats not even including the other incentives they'll no doubt provide.
Thats the entire point. Kobe has at max 10 years of basketball left in him, if even 3/4 of that. Then he will have 35+ years of life to live out of the spotlight and in the oceanside villa they gave him, much more well off than he'd be at NBA price. He'd be foolish to not consider it, which puts a fault in your "zero chance" theory.
I believe he will stay, but again, its folly to believe he won't even stay open to the idea (which he already has stated).

Rick Kamla was say at NBA draft review in his opinion best domestic league is Greece even better than Spain. And for sure everyone who know game in Europe (except damn stupid Spanish homers) know Greek league is at least by far 2nd best national league there.
ESPN Europe scout expert Fran Fraschilla say that in his opinion Greek league is #1 best domestic league in Europe. And is his job to follow and scout all leagues in Europe.

Even with all his endorsements, I find it hard to believe he BANKS $100 million a year - the tax man takes a huge cut of his money first and foremost, which means even if he did make 100 mil, theyd be taking away a good 35-40 of it, and thats not to count Obama who will be raising taxes on the very rich such as Kobe.
You don't seem to understand that if the money is there, why not consider it minimum? Again, he already has stated that he will be open to deals, and in reality, I think its apparent Kobe gives a what the average fan or even his own teammates think of his personal history.
