If it's any comfort, I don't think the grudge is against the Mavs so much as the entire city of Dallas. Here's a brief history:
1960 - An expansion franchise known as the Dallas Cowboys comes to existence in the city of Dallas. The fledgling nation of Israel is outraged by the blue and white five pointed star, which is clearly a mockery of their flag.
1963 - The Jews, showcasing the patience you would expect of a people willing to walk through the desert for 40 years, wait until the perfect moment to kill two birds with one stone. Jewish bankers from eastern Europe use their expansive wealth to manipulate elements within the CIA, KGB, and the mafia to strike a blow at both the Catholic church's first US president and the blasphemous sports home of the Dallas Cowboys by orchestrating the JFK assassination.
1971 - Texas Stadium is opened as the new home of the Dallas Cowboys. The explanation that the hole in the roof is there so "God can watch his team" reopens old wounds. Despite technically being located in nearby Irving, The Chosen People vow to teach The Big D a lesson.
1979 - As all the entire entertainment industry is owned by Jews, this seemed like a reasonable avenue to strike back with. Dallas debuts on CBS. It sets back national perception of Texas back by decades by turning the Jewish stereotypes onto Texans, showcasing a greedy, deceitful, and manipulative oil family. The perpetrators left their thinly veiled signature coded into the name of the family patriarch J.R. Ewing, Jr. (J. R. Ewing, Jew-nior)
1989-1993 - A historic back room peace accord is brokered. Jimmy Johnson, held in high regard in the Jewish community thanks to bringing a national championship to the city of Miami (which is almost nothing elderly Jewish retirees in some spots), is hired by Jerry Jones. Two years later, Dallas is taken off the air, and the following years the Cowboys are allowed to win back to back Superbowls when Jewish power brokers order the notoriously devout Marv Levy to make his Bills take a dive.
1994 - Johnson leaves the Cowboys and Jones violates the terms of the peace accord by using Barry Switzer to win another championship. Using the same Dallas law enforcement contacts that made killing Kennedy so easy, Jews plant a gun in Switzer's luggage, plant 37.4 tons of marijuana in Nate Newton's car, and plant cocaine and pros utes into everything that Michael Irvin owns. The Cowboys dynasty soon crumbles and has yet to ever recover.
2000 - Jewish internet mogul Mark Cuban purchases the Dallas Mavericks, but is soon branded a traitor for his devotion to Mormon zealot Shawn Bradley. Over the course of the next years the Mavericks are systematically targeted for crushing postseason elimination after crushing postseason elimination, culminating in the 2006 NBA finals, which were almost entirely coordinated on the ground by the same Jewish cabal that brought the 1992 and 1993 NFL championships to the city. Some believe that the incredibly cruel nature of that series was due to Cuban hiring evangelical Christian Avery Johnson. When simply influencing officials became too high profile in the wake of the Donaghy scandal the shadowy conspirators instead used more sinister techniques of replacing former all stars such as Jerry Stackhouse and Josh Howard with mentally re ed clones.
