wow a new and fresh idea
or Vaughn or Finley.
It is safe to say that the other teams may actually take those guys in some cases but they will probably want Hill or Mahinmi in return as part of a package.
I don't think anyone is going to take Bonner or Vaughn unless they get a prospect (Hill or Ian) as well. You gotta give value to get value.
Ditch Farmer and bringing back Hairston may be the biggest move made this season.
I'm part of the "do whatever with Bonner except put him on the court" crowd
waiting for the man "MadBonner" to post himself and call ya all out

Bonner will never be given a chance by Pop. I mean, Pop wouldn't have played him if he wasn't doing good on defense in the practices.
Maybe Tolliver will continue to do better. He just looks like he feels more at home on the court, instead of Bonner whose only chance at PT was going all out which sometimes made him a little out of control and overanxious - but , with every spurfan and Pop one inch away from meltdown on him, what did any of you expect?
Or was it you were all actually hoping for failure? I think its the latter.
Addition by subtraction. Getting rid of Bonner and Vaughn will make this a better team even if it is for nothing.
that is part of my point. There are a lot who post ad finitum that we trade either or both Bonner and Vaughn.
It is extremely unlikely that some team is going to show up out of the blue thinking they need Matt Bonner in a trade from us. The only way he is going anywhere would be cap filler in a trade that send a more valuable player to the other team.
There are also a lot of Manu and TP threads. At the exception of Tim, every single spurs player has a bunch of trade him threads.
^^ eh, that' true but I would have to bet there won't be any trades this season.
Bonne is tradeable if for nothing more than his contract, to a team looking to cut payroll
Bonner has this year and next year left on his contract so the Spurs would have to take on someone else's bloated contract, probably for a longer period of time and for a guy who's not going to be any more productive. IOW, the Spurs would have to sacrifice their plan to clear payroll in the next couple of years in order to move Bonner, and it likely wouldn't help the Spurs at all in the meantime.
