Indeed. But I am afraid we play TD too much, clearly out of necessity. Pray that TD keeps his health when Manu and Tony return.
It's amazing how we can be a TEAM with this roster. That's why TD is the only MVP of this team, maybe the only real MVP of the NBA

That block on Brooks was ing SWEET!!!
if TD were play the whole 4 quarter against the Bucks We were winning them too
Obviously
As long as Duncan stays healthy he can keep us in the hunt even with a rag-tag supporting cast until Manu and Parker get back. Never under-estimate Duncan and his desire to win.
i meant fourth quarter, sorry
I would give him 2 or more weks to rest when TP and Manu return but obviously we can't do it if we want to be in the playoffs because he is the San Antonio Spurs
This is why you treasure every game you watch when he plays cause your seeing a legend play every night.
I agree, but TD could sure use another running partner on the frontline. From his occasional demeanor, I almost get the sense that he's somewhat frustrated having to carry the load.
I see that too. And I'm frustrated for him, and for us as fans. I'd like to see him gather more rings before he's done and he needs help to do that. But he will continue to give it his all regardless of the cir stances. It bothers me when I see Duncan's name and the words "loser" and "quitter" in the same sentence. He's never given us reason to think he gives anything less than his all every night. And his all is usually pretty damn good.![]()
Duncan is one of the biggest compe ors in the NBA..he's as compe ive as anybody..he obviously gets frustrated by mistakes, and that's what we'll have to get used to with the young players and inexperienced players..that doesn't excuse him though, as he has made some serious mistakes as well..
it would have been interesting to see if Pop had brought Tim in the game earlier vs. Milwaukee..
It's these types of games where I feel for TD. Going against Yao on both ends is no picnic. In previous seasons, the Spurs had either D-Rob, Rasho or some other big with some size to handle the bigger 5's in the NBA. Thereby, Duncan was afforded the luxury of conserving his energy and fouls for the other end.
As Tim has gotten older, his frontline support has gotten progressively worse. Oberto and KT are virtually useless in a game like this - KT especially. He looks like Horry did last seasons.
Shame on the FO for this. I wonder if TD be better off with a guy like Watkins at his side?
Excuse me, but when have you ever seen that???
Duncan is widely considered to be the biggest winner in the NBA today, so anybody that thinks otherwise is an idiot..
Thanks anakha.
tlong, in case it isn't clear, Sequ started a bunch of threads that were merged. One of them was called "Tim Duncan is a quitter".
sequ is just a rabble-rouser. He's not serious about something like that.
True, but them's fightin' words to me.![]()
BTW, I saw nothing in that thread that was calling Duncan a loser or quitter...
That's because Sequ went on his usual tear and started several threads, all of which were merged.
Check the post les.
yeah thank him for his 5 rebounds tonight
way to go duncan
Post #12. You can see the name of the thread at the top of the post. There's like 5 threads merged into that one.

That's a reach and you know it. In fact it was probably true that game.
