"I was just the last line of defense," Duncan said. "I mean there was kind of nothing else to do there. I see him break free and come out wide open. I'm the help-side defender and I got there just in time."

Duncan won them the game and all, but why has Duncan been so poor on the glass the past 2 games? At around 7', with the minutes he plays, you can have 5 rebounds basically fall into your lap. Reason I ask is, dishnetwork is still at odds with the NBA over league pass and I couldn't see the past 2 games.

With no Tony and no Manu, Tim has to carry a lot more weight on the offensive end. The more energy he has to expend on scoring, the less he has for defense and defensive rebounds. And the more shots he takes, the less chance he has of getting offensive rebounds.

He's only human, so if he has to up his scoring from 19pts a game to 29pts a game, you can't expect him to be pulling down his typical number of boards.

I don't necessarily agree with that, particularly the comment of shooting so he can't get the offensive rebound. When you shoot from the post, you have a great chance of getting the offensive rebound, because you know where the shot is likely to come off at. I agree expending more energy on offense will hurt his total, but 5 rebounds 2 nights in a row? 5...

Also, didn't Bogut have like 8 offensive rebounds last game?

Some of the lack of rebounding is on Tim, but you've also got to consider that with no Tony or Manu he's playing in a lot more traffic.

Teams are able to really concentrate on taking away Tim's offensive boards, and defensively he's had to concentrate more on blocking out (allowing the wings to board) in an attempt to gang-rebound as a team to make up for there lack of quality rebounders on the front-line.

There's a rhythym to rebounding like anything else, which Duncan seems to have lost the last couple of games, but don't expect it to last all that long.

What can you really say about Tim Duncan that hasn’t already been said? He provides the leadership on this team. He is the center of the program. The confidence he shows and put in these guys creates an environment where they can succeed. He pumps them up and encourages them. That confidence shows up in the results.

I agree, but TD could sure use another running partner on the frontline. From his occasional demeanor, I almost get the sense that he's somewhat frustrated having to carry the load.
Solution: Trade Tony Parker for Andris Biedrins + Kelenna Azubuike ( I checked, the salaries do match up nicely)

Biedrins and Duncan would be a great rebounding frontline, and you add in Azubuike and no more would teams be outrebounding us or getting so many second chance points. =)

while Biedrins is a solid player that will improve, he isn't in the same league as Parker..and without TP, our offense would be even worse, if that's possible..

When will spoiled Spurs fan realize the FO isn't trading any of the big three?

With the REAL BIG 3 they have a chance to win a championship year in and year out. Without them they don't!!

Why don't spolied Spurs fan enjoy and appreciate the REAL BIG THREE instead of always proposing silly trade ideas for anyone of the three?

    Wow!!

That is an absolutely gorgeous wallpaper d228. I was at the movies listening to the game in the car and when Tim gets that block I started jumping up and down and people thought I was losing my mind, but it was worth it.

TD is one of the greats. Night in and night out he comes to play and he comes to win. That's all there is to it. He just wins and I hope we can help him win a few more rings because I NEED him to win more than Shaq.

    Go Spurs! Go Tim!

For anyone that may not know, Spurs.com does walls for every winning game. They also have a retired jerseys selection. They do some nice work.

Yesterday he won the game again and he had 10 reb and 3 blocks.

We don't have a real big 3.We have a god and 2 superstars.TD is in a higher level.

Do that trade but also Ginobili for Camby. With a Duncan/Camby/Biedrins/Oberto/KT starting 5, we would grab 100% of the available rebounds.

No...that's where his wife keeps her jacket during the game so it doesn't drag on the floor.

Well,I'm not sure if we can win another tle in 2009 only with the big3.Last year we have a lot of problems in the playoffs and this year could be even more difficult.
IMO we could have more chances if we trade Parker for 1 PG and one good center.I say Tony because we can get better players for Tony than for Manu.

Thanks. All I did was pick the pics and ask the right person for help. He wouldn't put his name on it, but 'he who prefers not to be named' gets all the credit.

Man... with TP we have both for the same price : a talented PG and an efficient center ! 2 for 1 it's better you know
