stupid
Here is a blog that will keep track of voting Stephon Marbury into the All-Star game.
HOW TO DO IT
Go to:
http://www.nba.com/allstar2009/asb/eng/daily.html
Fill out the ballot however you like EXCEPT for the East Guards.
This part is IMPORTANT!
For East Guards (change the tab at the top) choose STEPHON MARBURY and choose from a list of
Luke Ridnour
Anthony Parker
Raymond Felton
As your other East Guard. I recommend you fill out the whole ballot in case NBA.com voids it.
A bit of background.
Last year the NBA All-Star ballot included Antoine Walker and some of the basketball fans on the Internet tried to vote him in. Turns out Walker didn’t even crack the top 10 in voting. This year we’re going to try again and try and vote New York point guard Stephon Marbury into the All-Star Game.
WHY STEPHON?This is just too funny. Like another big giant blackeye to the Knicks and D'Antoni if we were somehow able to vote Marbury in. LOL
- He was an awesome NBA player
- New coach Mike D’Antoni hasn’t played him yet
- Led the Phoenix Suns (host of this year’s game) to the NBA Playoffs in 2003
- Makes affordable basketball shoes and clothes for people to wear
- He’s funny
- Just vote for him!
Spread the word! This should be on the Suns, Lakers, Pistons, Kings..heck everyone's bbs.![]()
lol Marbury would be awesome at the All-Star game. Juking and dominating the ball.
and it would be a huge dis to D'Antoni lol
It would pretty much hurry along the end of fan voting in the all-star game as we know it. Way to all over a sport you root for.![]()
haha I will do it just for s and giggles along with the other 20 times I'll vote for Tim.
great idea...
while we're at it why don't we just vote jordan, sir charles, and the worm in as well?
that vote me in!!!
i got just as many min this season...
On the other hand, it sort of serves the NBA right for having that idiot on their ballot.
This would be hilarious... I'm gonna do it. Hopefully, fan voting will disappear if such a thing happened and it would be a great victory for us.
Now that I think about it, the Spurs would probably have more chance of getting players into the game if the coaches and players voted the teams in.
Gentlemen, Ladies, I am saying this for your behalf... This idea is ING lame. It's not funny; it's stupid. I like a good joke but this is stupid. Absolutely nothing funny about this. This is yet another example why fans should not vote for the NBA all-star. Because stupid people vote. Stupid people think of stupid ideas like this. You need to know, if you think this is cute or funny you maybe a very stupid person.
You know, you've sold me on it. I'm voting now.
DEATH TO THE FAN VOTE!
Marbury. The game is in Phoenix. We should vote Horry.
The NBA was smart enough not to include Horry on the ballot.
Even if everyone on Spurstalk did this it would still be nearly impossible to vote him in. This scheme would need to be done by a lot more people.
Fans can only vote in the starters too. There are 4 guard spots (2 per conference). It would be too hard to vote him in, but it would be funny.![]()
I believe it could happen. There were record numbers at the polls just a few weeks ago. Americans are in a voting mood. In the mean time I'm going to vote early and often, and link this to everyone I know. I hate the entire NBA all star weekend and I will gladly do whatever it takes to see it die. This is a good first step.

Go Marbury! YES WE CAN!
This is on nearly every basketball forum. It can be done. Starbury 09!
I think Stern is less popular than Horry in Phoenix these days. I wonder if they're going to put him in one of those bullet proof glass bubbles like the pope?
