GO SPURS GO!
Game Preview: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/preview?gameId=281117012
Ah, the first winning streak of the season, how sweet it tastes! With surprising performances from our role players, the Spurs have pushed themselves into the 8th seed with a win over the SacQueens (boxscore.)
Team is everything, believe.
looking forward to a third consecutive win! go spurs go
a 3 win streak would be off the charts and unexpected... damn i hate to remember the 2 games we lost very closely now...
Let's sweep the California road trip!
the quest for.500
The clippers suck, but i have a feeling the spurs will lose this one.
every game is an adventure for us... i just hope they can stay compe ive on this one. This team needs the win desperately and will jump on us early in the game.

As long as we beat the clubs we have more talent then, we will be fine no matter what happens when Manu and TP are at full strength. We shoulda beat the Wolves, but have made great progress since. I dont see us losing tonight. I see AT having a good game. We still have better talent on the court against the teams we are currently beating. And thats a good thing.
This will be tough due to the inside presence of Kaman and Camby. Both can guard Duncan pretty well. It will be tough and i would be VERY suprised if the Spurs can pull this one out thier hat....
i think it would require another Fin 20, plus a Mason monster game and we'll be right there...
I'll be there flying the flag in person (metaphorically) ...![]()
Duncan can easily get either or both bigs in foul trouble. It's crazy to think that the Clips are 1-7 with that post presence, but it shows you that stat-junkies like Hollinger can't accurately predict the ability of a team. Duncan is now 3-1 with a team that has much less depth than the Clips, because he actually plays a defensive presence, rather than just stats. Camby continually goes for blocks. Duncan just tries to prevent his guy from scoring instead of going for the glory, which is why he's underrated by certain analysts and never comes up anymore in the DPoY voting.
I think we win tonight. I would rather get Duncan some rest though. Ideally he plays for 32 minutes or less and the Spurs win by double digits.
I wish I could be there in person. I've never seen them live and tonight they're in my backyard.
The Spurs, as long as they can muster up the energy, should be able to give the Clippers fits on the offensive end. The key will be to get Kaman in foul trouble early. Our young guys are really going to have to be active on the boards and bring the defensive energy. The Spurs should be able to get any shot they want.
Baron Davis is always a tough match-up, because like Billups he is a guard that is good on the low block. Great test for Hill/Vaughn. Al Thornton is the kind of athletic slasher that gives the Spur trouble and it will be interesting to see who guards him (Bowen imo).
Their record says they suck, but I think that between Kaman, Camby, and some of their young wing players the Spurs could end up in a lot of trouble on the boards like they did against the Rockets. But they've got me believing. It's the drive for 5 (wins)!
The Clips have looked bad, but they are one of those teams that has the talent and depth at every position to just go off one night. I hope it is not tonight and we run into a team that is still trying to find their iden y.
I mean they have a ton of firepower. We have to watch Thornton though, he is the biggest threat tonight. Same with B-Diddy.
Let's make it 3 in a row!

San Antonio @ L.A. Clippers: E. Rush, D. Collins, G. Zielinski
where are you from duncan228? or located i should say..
I'm in Orange County, about an hour from LA.
Previous 2 wins will look pretty weak, signifying nothing, if the Spurs can't beat the 1-8 Clips.
That's somewhat true but 7 out of their 9 games they've played have been against good teams.
The Clippers do suck & have always sucked...which is sad to me because I do like them and wished they were on a compe ive level with the Lakers.....in basketball terms, they are the stepchild...the "Cinderella" before she was turned into a fairy princess and won the prince's heart......
yet on any given day in the NBA, they can pull out a victory.....I like the Clips but not tonight!![]()
I'm out of vBookie money to put on the Clippers. The Spurs are going to lose this one, I'm sorry to say.
