According to Times Online (via HuffPo) Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin
is looking at a likely book deal that will get her upwards of $7 Million.
That is a lot of walking around money for a simple hockey mom from Wasilla,
and will likely give her the confidence she needs to make it througanother Katie Couric interview.
But what would someone like down-to-earth Sarah Palin do with
$7 Million? Here are a few things she can now afford:
3 Alaskan Governor's jets
23 of those crazy dresses Cindy McCain wore to the RNC
46 $150,000 shopping sprees
28 Theoretical Joe the Plumbers
175 actual Joe the Plumbers
15,555,555 cans of Diet Dr. Pepper
2% of a Bridge to Nowhere
thats alot of money for a coloring book.

Palin will probably end up like Paris Hilton, trying to sue her own ghostwriter because she doesn't agree with some of the facts in the book.
She was a journalism major. I hate to possibly defend her, but I'm guessing she will at least have a large amount of written input, if not write most/all of it on her own.
Regarding Palin's alleged "hotness," have Americans gone mad? She looks like a frick'n tranny.

Would you walk away from 7 million? Do you have a story worth telling, like are you the Governor of a State, or were you on a presidential ticket?
And as already mentioned, she is well educated.

By what extreme stretch of the imagination could you possibly label her as educated??
She may seem well educated to some hicks in Texas (and Arkansas and Alabama and Kentucky etc. ), but to the rest of the country and the world she is shockingly stupid and uninformed. Even well-respected Rebublicans and McCain's own staff couldn't get over how ignorant this woman was. As far as the book? Well, yes... it is amazing that Forest Gump managed to get on a presidential ticket. There's the story in itself and that's the sole reason why she has fascinated the press and the public. Her unbelievable level of stupidity. THAT is what people can't get enough of and that's the reason for all the attention.

By educated, I think the posters (including myself) have meant...educated. As in, she has a collegiate education.
No, I don't think she is "STUPID", I think that she was horrifically uninformed and that ther ambition was muted by her laziness in learning about national political issues. I mean, she was quoted as saying "I want to be President" when she was a newly-elected Mayor of Wasilla. Now, that's cool and everything, but I wish she would have actually attempted to learn about the issues facing a National Office.
You also have to realize - Alaska is a whole 'nother world. It is quite close to its own Sovereign Nation in policy, geography, etc... She was much more informed about Alaskan issues even in her 2006 Governor's debate.

This explanation is fair enough. But then, I think people should reconsider what they mean when they say "educated". To me, it is a person with an educated mind. Someone worldly and knowledgeable regardless of whether they went to college. I know plenty of people who never stepped into a college classroom that are very well educated and informed. Most of the people posting on this forum- even the ones who so adamantly support Palin - appear far more informed than Palin herself.
People like Sarah Palin are living proof that one can graduate college in the U.S. and remain largely ignorant and uneducated.
Well, yes, technically she has a "college education." But if I recall, it took her 5 years and 5 different colleges to eke out a diploma at a pretty crappy podunk college. Not what you'd say the most stellar academic achievement.
And her degree is in "sports journalism" or something like that. Not the most rigorous academic discipline, and certainly not at the podunk school she attended.
And yes, I'm a snob. I come from academic parents. I can't help it.

Hmm, well, I've gone to two colleges - Drake U. and Western Illinois. I will likely receive credits at a third but graduate from WIU (long story). They are actually fairly highly-rated and selective colleges, but I have a feeling they'd be called podunk.
I started out as a Journalism major but switched to English.
In high school, I had a 33 on my ACT and received numerous awards at regional and state compe ions for Math, Science, and English.
But if you saw - went to three schools and graduated from Western Illinois (even if I had a 3.81 GPA...which I do), you might think it's not worth much. I'd have to strongly disagree.

that is more money then most here will make in their whole lifetime
